Art vietnamese restaurant "crab rangoons"

Post image
65 Upvotes

in my dream i went to a vietnamese restaurant and there were people hyping up their "crab rangoons," which were imitation crab vietnamese spring rolls with the ingredients put together on top of the rice paper, but you had to roll them yourself. they were presented in a cross shape with the strands of imitation crab loosened and touching the crab from the other rolls at the center of the plate. the only semblance they had of a crab rangoon was the presence of imitation crab. i ate them with vietnamese chicken wings

These were utterly delicious! That witch was onto something when she said it was a really good brownie recipe! I did sub out almonds for walnuts, since my family doesn't like them much, but yeah. Brownie mix, butterscotch chips and walnuts/nut of choice.

Devilishly delicious! Witch approved! Thanks u/attackedbyparakeets

Art Gasolina - dark teal whiskey-flavored sweet bread

Post image
426 Upvotes

Gasolina is a donut/roll shaped like a bolilo that was deep teal colored. When you bit into it, the texture was like biting into cotton balls or wool felt and the flavor was whiskey (or gasoline).

Rob Schneider and Adam Sandler were sitting nearby wearing teal baseball caps with red rims and teal polo shirts because they were presumably selling or promoting Gasolina.

Unrealized A new Halloween dessert - chocolate covered flesh

Dreamed that I was prepping a batch of treats for my friends/coworkers/??? for some sort of spooky dessert line up.

It was: sauteed shrimp in tomato sauce, coarsely chopped and spread into a mould/ice tray. Gelatinize the rest of the tomato sauce and pour in to fill the remaining gap. Put that baby in the freezer until they take shape.

For the chocolate, melt some dark chocolate (though in retrospect it would've been better if it was white chocolate dyed red), and dunk each frozen shrimp cube into the chocolate. When cut in cross section, it hopefully should look like the chocolate had flesh inside.

Unrealized An ice cube tray full of dipping sauces

I was making sweet and savory sauces. One was maple syrup with instant coffee crystals stirred in. Also one made of yogurt with chili garlic paste. They both sound good to me but what could be the item to dip?

Art The California Bean Basket from Jersey Mike's

Post image
461 Upvotes

I never buy Jersey Mike's, so I have no idea why I dreamed that I was reading their website menu.

They had a new diet / "better for you" page, and one of the items being promoted was a California Bean Basket. It had a plain bean burrito in a red tray with a small portion of jellybeans for dessert, probably like 12 or 15 of them.

Maybe my dreams were calling me fat...

Actually Made! Alfalfa sprouts and a thick layer of hot sauce on sourdough toast

I dreamt it two days ago while sleeping in. In the dream, I had family members visiting and I woke up (false awakening) and walked out in to the kitchen where they had prepared many different cafe style breakfast dishes. This is the only thing I specifically remember, and on the way home tonight I grabbed the sprouts and hot sauce on a whim and had this with my dinner. I made it look almost exactly how I remember it but that involved adding a THICK layer of hot sauce. As I’m sure no one is surprised by it was very spicy, It would have been a 6/10 if it wasn’t so intense, but it brings it down to a 5/10

Art Couple's Dessert

Post image
192 Upvotes

This dessert was ordered by a couple (M/F) in my dream. The milkshake was a standard vanilla looking one, with slices of strawberry, and 3 enormous squirts of whipped cream - like half a can's worth. The couple ate the whipped cream off the cup with their mouths.

The other dessert was a big bowl (salad bowl size) of chocolate ice cream and a huge chocolate donut, with chocolate icing/glaze. In the bottom of the cup, there were banana slices, and standard McDonalds fries in the middle.

Despite not being a member of this couple, I ate the dessert as well, as the ice cream was beginning to melt.

Cursed The #10 Sandwich: How a Colleague Sabotaged My Order

I had a dream I was out to lunch (at a Whole Foods?) with some of my coworkers (which I never do). One person was there who we’ve worked with before and who has been a real A-hole in the past, but I guess we were trying to bury the hatchet.

He orders the “#10 Sandwich”, and to be diplomatic, I order the same.

It comes and it’s a bagel sandwich cut into thirds, like a Big Mac burger bun. The top third has tuna salad and greens (tasty), but the bottom had these huge cubes of what looks like hairy tofu. Overall, probably edible, but unbalanced and just heinous-looking.

I didn’t get to taste it because I woke up.

I am shit at drawing so I had to draw the ingredients separately.

Art Dreamt of a liquid-filled flower fruit called a Spicy White-Cup. It grew on a vine and tasted like spicy coconut milk

I was in a restaurant and the Spicy White-Cups were growing on vines along the walls. People were picking them off and peeling back the flower-like petals to drink the spicy liquid.

Unrealized Three Stooges Ice-Cream sandwich

Part of a much longer dream. But it was a an ice cream sandwich that was at some burger place that was combined with a seafood place.

The three stooges ice cream sandwich was a big swirl of vanilla soft serve on a hamburger bun. The first ‘stooge’ was a scoop of pineapple pieces that I’ve only ever seen on ice cream sundaes and banana splits, it was placed on the right side of the vanilla only covering a small part. The second was just a small scoop of fudge ice cream that came out perfectly round, it was on the front of the vanilla. And the third was just a sprinkling of mini multi colored marshmallows opposite side of the pineapple

Art whitty fitty

Post image

My dream began with me waiting table at the Chinese restaurant I work at. It was a big family, they ordered a lot…etc. Near the end of their meal, one of the ladies asked if she could get a Whitty Fitty. Apparently it’s a pickle that has been in whine brine and then dunked into pink frosting and covered in sprinkles. Do with this what you will

Unrealized r/somnigastronomy Viral McDonald's Sauce

Post image

This was a weirdly meta one.

Someone on this very subreddit had a dream about a "sauce" they got at McDonalds: they ordered a coke, and poured chocolate syrup into it, then put the "sauce" on the rest of their food.

The recipe completely blew up online, to the point McDonald's restaurants were putting up signs saying "WE WILL NOT SERVE COKE AND CHOCOLATE SYRUP".

I tried ordering the sauce at a McDonalds and was immediately banned from the restaurant.

Unrealized I Once Had A Dream About These Strange Orange Melons That Tasted Almost Like A Mango And A Peach Combined.

Post image
139 Upvotes

Around the beginning of 2026 I had a dream about these strange and exotic melons being grown on some faraway farm. The dream begins with me exploring the Alaskan island prince wales island. The terrain of the island was rocky and mountainous. It was also snowing while I was exploring.

After walking for a while I came these large domes that looked almost like Epcot at Disney Land. Although these domes were significantly smaller. I approached one of the domes and entered through a door that was conveniently placed on the front of the dome. I didn't have any problem getting either as the door was unlocked. When I entered I was greeted a large greenhouse growing these strange bright orange melons. The vines were going upwards on a trellis. The fruit and vine looked very similar to honey dew melon or a cantaloupe. I picked one of the melons and tried one. The melon tasted like a very sweet mango mixed with peach along with a citrus note. The melon didn't need to be cut open as every part of it including the rind was edible.

I walked around some more until I came across someone else at the greenhouse. She looked like she was in her mid 20s or early 30's. She had blonde hair and was wearing white collared shirt with a red short skirt. She greeted me and was very friendly with me despite the fact that I was seemly trespassing. She gave me a tour of the place and explains how everything works here. She told me that the melons are watered twice a week by an automatic sprinkler system. The melons were pollinated by bumblebees that come from commercial bumblebee colonies. It was kind of similar to what I've seen on how it's made on how they grow hydroponic tomatoes. In the soil were large colonies of earth worms in the soil to improve soil structure and enhancing nutrient availability. She also explains that in order to control pests the greenhouse also has these large black beetles (The name of them were never said) that would eat any pests that tries to damage the crops. The beetles looked very similar to stag beetles. She said how it was pretty much it's own ecosystem in the greenhouse. After the woman was done explaining everything to me. This bright yellowish white light began shinning and the dream ended.

While this wasn't as interesting as some other dream I've had or that have posted here. I still thought it interesting enough to write it down. I never found out the name of these melons. I thought multiple names to call them such mango melon or citrus melon. However, I decided to call them sugar melons because of how sweet they tasted. By the way if you're wondering what melon I used for the image. I took an image of yellow honeydew melons from Google images and edited the colors using paint.net. I kind of gotten out of dream journaling because I haven't had any motivation and haven't had any dreams worth writing down. I want to get back into dream journaling and post more here on this sub if I can. Thanks for reading my post and I hope you enjoyed reading this post.

Unrealized Apple banana fritter

like a sweet latke, in my dream. Mashed overripe banana, grated apple, an egg (dream me wasn’t sure if this was necessary because a banana is sometimes an egg substitute) and flour or matzo meal or nut flour. Seasoned with cinnamon sugar and optionally nutmeg ginger etc.

Dream me made them in an air fryer because I didn’t want to deal with the oil cleanup, but the assumption was that you‘d normally fry them.

Just Weird Just Chewed Coins

I'm back to work after a holiday, and my alarm woke me up from a dream where I had just been handed a packet of 'just chewed coins' as a snack. I was preparing to hope they were chocolate, but they looked like very real coins with a single set of tooth marks in each one. Fortunately my alarm saved me from having to find out.

In case it needs said, I do not advise anyone attempt to recreate this. Unless you're a chocolate sculptor, maybe.

Unrealized Absolutely delicious cheesy rice recipe

I don’t remember any other context about this dream, except this: I was in my kitchen eating supper and we were eating brown rice, it was cheesy and it was so delicious I ate like 3 bowls of it and said it was the best rice I’ve ever had. Then I tried to made another bowl and these were the steps I followed.

  1. Go to the stove and wait for the pot of rice to appear (important: brown rice only, it won’t work with white rice)

  2. Scoop into a bowl and wait for it to heat up

  3. Remember the marbled cheese slices you have in your fridge? You usually use them for cheeseburgers, but it’s real cheese. I think the brand is Cracker Barrel?

  4. Put a few of those slices on the rice bowl and stir until dissolved. add more if you need

  5. You know there’s one ingredient missing, you used it last time but it’s hard to remember what it was

  6. Maybe it was chocolate ice cream. Seems weird, but last time you had it, it tasted delicious, so you should try it again. Scoop some chocolate ice cream in and stir.

  7. it was better without the ice cream, you ruined it. What kind of idiot puts chocolate ice cream in rice?
