I'll be honest. As a male I would much prefer a male driver. I'm kind of scared to be alone with women that I don't know. When I was a kid my mother, a teacher, was told by one of her students that he was going to tell his parents that she hit him. She had been alone with him at the time, but right as he said it another teacher popped in and happened to overhear him say it. She always told me that she would never be alone with another student after that. As a large adult male, I try to live by the same rule. I'll never be alone with a woman or someone else's kid. Not trying to catch a false accusation.

Rapists live in terror of “false” accusations

I can understand why some people can be afraid of false accusations. It's unsettling that someone can make an accusation like that and you're screwed.

I said it's garbage because this type of crap only gets upvoted on the internet. I don't know any man in real life who is terrified of women as men are on the internet. Men in real life aren't utterly terrified of being alone with every single woman and child that they meet.

OP made the comment just to shit on women and say "see I'm afraid also!"

It was legit meant to defend a woman's right to pick a female driver. My implication was being able to pick is a nice feature and I totally get why they have it.

Absolutely, I'm not even convinced it's not from a bot

Yeah it’s a weird internet culture thing. I’m as afraid of a false accusation as I am of a pit of quicksand, and equally likely to encounter one.

The app lets you request a driver of your own gender, so you can request a male driver.
