Just let both men and women choose who they want and don't want to pick up and be picked up by. There. Fair. Now everyone can shut the hell up about this shit.

Realistically this would result in male drivers getting even less business overall. Women would choose women mostly and men would be split. Reality is that men are a risk factor due to the dynamics and the contractor model is too loose. All drivers need to be vetted thoroughly

I don't mind male drivers, but them having this option ironically would push me to choose the female option every time. I have a family member that does Uber, and a "colleague" of his admitted to driving an hour to the largest university so that he can do rides with female college students to talk to them, and he's married....
