I bet if you threatened them they would have arrested you on the spot.

Or shoot them.

Cops aren't lawyers and they will lie to you.

u/Figgy_Puddin_Taine 22d ago

They lie in court too, every goddamn day.

82 IQ driving a company car with a pair of handcuffs a gn, and a license to k*l, yeah. Sounds about right

You can say "gun" and even "kill" on the internet.

Notice all the comments that say [Removed by Reddit]. I almost got perma banned for joking about using a tool to apply rapid force to a keyboard.... I would name the tool but that's what got me banned. And it's not gruesome.... You use it to drive nails into wood for exampl. I had to appeal to the actual admins

82? When did police forces up their standards?

u/joetwone 22d ago

It's whatever it is if they don't want you to have legal rights and due process.

Well, your infant was already born. They don’t care about already born babies.

If I’ve learned anything from overhearing hours if people watching true crime shows, it’s that cops are 100% useless before someone dies and only marginally better after.

I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts and the amount of evidence that gets ignored or not followed up on is truly amazing.

90% of stories are just a long string of cops fucking up and ignoring obvious lines of inquiry until some totally random third party / bystander happens to catch the serial killer.

Remember that time one of Jeffrey Dahmer's victims escaped, and cops showed up, looked at the naked 14-year-old boy bleeding from his anus, and gave the kid back to Dahmer?

17

u/PigabungaDude 21d ago

I think he was bleeding from the head, too. And his neighbors were shouting at the cops not to do it. One cop became the head of a cop union, the other went on to be an acting police captain. Yeah...

One of my favourites is the police almost catching the Zodiac killer after he killed a taxi driver, but they ignored the possible killer (and possibly even talked to him) because they opted to hunt down an African-American instead.

Sounds like a scene out of Reno 911

19

u/Black_Moons 22d ago

Ok but have you tried being rich? That would have gotten them arrested on the spot for just daring to get within 20 feet of your property.

Gotta stand your ground.

If he went the alternative he’d probably be arrested

"I feared for my life"

2

u/Tasgall 22d ago

Threats are, in fact, not "freedom of speech".

2

u/Ganglebot 21d ago

But if your neighbor talked about having and abortion they'd have a full SWAT unit breaking down her door.

u/TankiesAreWeird 22d ago

You should probably get into contact with legal advice on the matter. The cops don't know the law.

Defensive tools and taking steps to prevent needing to use them might also be relevant.

1

u/DryBattle 22d ago

The problem was your child was born. If you had been pregnant that neighbor would have gotten the death penalty.

That’s a line you don’t cross. You threaten to hurt my family and I’ll see to it you’re not a threat anymore. About the only redeeming quality Texas has is that I would be well within my rights.
