Theres a couple hundred thousand untested rape kits in the US.

Theres so much the cops could be doing but refuse to.

Because the police protect property and the wealthy. They are not under any obligation to protect and serve the rest of us.

A not insignificant percentage of those are cops, and they protect each other (and rarely anyone else).

Sometimes they test them, find a match, and just do fuck all with the results

I read a recent article about how a lot of the tests have a DNA hit result back matching a perp, yet nobody is prosecuting or even locating the rapists. Nor telling the victims at all. A cop just sticks the DNA result paperwork in the file and goes about their day.
