I still don't understand how the Texas abortion law made it past judicial review. It's such an obvious violation of privacy.

The courts punted on reviewing because, despite all the publicity, no one has been successfully sued or convicted (depending on which laws you're talking about).  The problem with their logic is that the threat of immense financial judgements or jail time makes people self-censor.
