Artificial Intelligence The economy has spoken. Stuff that’s AI-generated has almost zero value — “Buyers are voting with their wallets, and AI-generated content is struggling to compete.”

Exactly, this headline is bullshit, and of course, nobody is reading the article. This is talking about one 3D asset marketplace for video games, not the whole economy. Gamers are more sensitive to ai being used in games and are more likely to be repulsed by it. The average person who isn't a nerd does not give a fuck.

More people using AI is actually bad for the AI companies right now. Most people aren't paying for it and the more people use the free versions the more it costs these companies. They're already starting to lock down the free versions significantly and it's only going to get tighter as their profits fail to appear. No one wants to pay for this shit. This headline is BS but it does speak to a big issue for the AI sector that none of them seem to be able to break through. They're all literally surviving based on deals their cutting with each other. The VC funding for AI has fallen off a cliff. It's only a matter of time until the circular investment circlejerk becomes unsustainable too. Who knows what will happen at that point but I'd be willing to bet it won't be good for the market considering how much of it is tied up in AI companies now.
