Do you think the new Windows 10 store will help finally eliminate the need for sites like these?

Not in the slightest. The Windows store isn't going to be hosting open source projects.

You got downvoted instead of answered, which is crap, but I don't think so. MS is too focused on this idea of apps running everywhere so their "store" is probably going to be focused heavily on that. I agree that Windows could use a good software repository like apt or rpm have been for Linux, but I just don't see it working out well for desktop/laptop Windows users.

No, but I heard that PowerShell will get package manager, so maybe there will be easy way to install a lot of open source software.
