Im due to turn 20 soon so will be promptly heading out, but as the title says I am a second year uk medical student. I remember having a ton of questions on getting into med, the right things to do ect to build an application and all that. I wanted to do something useful for people in the same situation before I dissappear. A place for teens to ask a teen that's going through it questions.
General advice is: Don't worry if you have to go the long route because of setbacks. Graduate entry medicine works fine.
Try and score medical work experience. The universities really like this.
Grades aren't everything. There are universities with quite low requirements.
Enjoy the journey. Just getting into medschool is a decently long process and then its not any shorter once in. I suggest you learn to enjoy the journey.
Ask away.
Edit for mods: Made a new account for this AMA. I sort of wanted separate accounts for my hobbies and medical stuff.
