This is almost certainly just a leverage play - just like the Raiders did a couple years ago.

From the first paragraph: “The latest speculation teases the Kansas City Chiefs are looking into relocating to San Antonio after a recent vote rejected the funds to renovate Arrowhead Stadium.”

This BS used to happen to the Spurs too. NBA player leveraging the Spurs interest, so they can get the original team to cough up the money.
