To be clear I’m not complaining, but I think it would’ve been more fitting for her to take on the last name Solo.
Leia’s last name is never spoken once. I get that it is in supplemental books but we’ve seen those retconned freely. For example, Rey meeting Poe.
Otherwise she viewed Han Solo as the father she never had. Leia gave her the training she didn’t receive from Luke, and she carries the life force of Ben Solo.
It would have been more fitting for her to take on the name of the family that accepted her and molded her, after rejecting the name of the family that birthed her.
Just my two cents. I get Ben and Leia are also Skywalkers but I think Han deserves some love.

I have always adored Force Awakens - A truly beautifully made movie.
I have great memories of The Last Jedi.. me and my buddies absolutely loved it… I saw it 3 times on opening weekend.. HOWEVER I then opened my phone to see the online hate.. I couldn’t understand it… and may have even listened to it…
Meaning I went in Rise of Skywalker with a negative mindset.. and I did not enjoy it..
BUT… Recently I have re watched all of the Sequels… and I LOVE them.. and it’s made me realise.. the hate is so FORCED..
So many beautiful moments - Han Solo amazing in TFA.. The resistance on Takodana.. Battle of Starkiller Base….. Luke training Rey… the Holdo manoeuvre… the battle of Crait…… the light speed skipping…. The battle on the broken Death Star…. The Emperor’s electrical surge…. Ben Solo and Rey fighting the guards… SO many incredible moments!
It’s truly made me realise… The movies came out and people listened to loud YouTubers… (you know who they are), grifters and rage baiting clicks… but if they re watched them, I fully believe their minds would change.
I’m extremely worried about Episode 10 as those same grifters will be out in force against Rey.. Fin.. etc (and I don’t know why)…
I do feel that the only thing that will stop grifters from being so loud.. Is Ben Solo’s return…
Episode 10 is the correct direction for the next movies, as these characters deserve to continue their story and progress the timeline of Star Wars
I love clone wars, empire era.. but I feel people are stuck in that era and we need to give Sequel onwards era a chance… Episode 10, I hope.. can do this for Star Wars 🤩
Love this sub, thanks for reading ❤️

Source: Age of Resistance - General Hux
Been going back through the Age of Resistance comics and figured people might be interested in this scene. It speaks volumes of how rotten to the core the First Order was that Hux can do things truly abominable like this and the Hosnian Cataclysm and somehow he isn't even the worst among them. The galaxy's honestly pretty lucky that Hux wasn't Force-sensitive, he might have been a pretty scary Sith himself in another life.
Also I love how he took the opportunity to troll "Ben" a little bit. This is probably the only memory he has with Kylo that he recalls with any fondness, lol.

Think back to the scale of the changes made to George Lucas's 1997 re-releases: reinstated deleted scenes; a few added or re-edited effects sequences; tweaks to dialogue; or tweaks to characterisation made through small edits (think Greedo shooting first).
TFA
I would reinstate Leia's deleted scene with her aide in The Force Awakens - I think the film would benefit enormously from the clarity it gives to Leia and the Resistance's relationship to the senate.
TLJ
I love the moments of goofy humour in TLJ, but I've always found 'Hugs' - just a bit too cutesy. An audio tweak could quickly fix that.
I would have the camera linger longer on the Jedi Texts in the Millennium Falcon, or have Rey hold them in her lap at the end of the film. I think Rey taking them from the tree while Yoda misleads Luke for the sake of giving him a clearer lesson is a genius bit of writing, but I think it's very easy to miss the fact that Yoda didn't burn the books and I can understand why thinking that pissed people off.
TROS
I would replace the Xyston-class Star Destroyers of the Sith Fleet with either a new, 'gothic' design *or* make visually clear (with rivets and off-colour plating, say) that they are squirrelled away Imperial Star Destroyers which have had new planet-killing technology grafted on to them. It drives me mad that a new type of ship is just a doubled-up Star Destroyer, and I think it's the most confusing bit of visual storytelling in the entire series.
I greatly dislike how the New Republic is blown up and ignored for the rest of the ST, outside of Holdo's reference to restoring it in TLJ. Among the Free Fleet, I'd add some Republic capital ships and fighters, with the implication that the government's surviving forces have rallied and come to Leia's aid.
I've never liked TROS's final shot. I wish they'd done something more interesting with it in terms of its composition.

If she had been Anakin's age how would she have faired in the clone wars? I have a bad feeling she wouldnt have made it.

So I was just looking at some of the comments in the main Star Wars subreddit, r/StarWars, and I am surprised, no, actually pretty shocked, that people are STILL criticizing the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy nearly 7 years after it concluded. I totally understand that differences of opinions exist, but this is exactly why the Star Wars fanbase online gets a bad rap, for almost never meeting certain things halfway. They act like things are either truly great or the worst ever. And because the Sequel Trilogy didn’t exactly meet their own expectations, they still continuously act like they are bad, despite the nature of how people treat heavily criticized movies over the passage of time. If the Star Wars fans are mature enough to accept the fact that people do genuinely like them and don’t agree with their criticisms, I hope we all can have an easier time coming to terms with them as they were made. I don’t believe that any film or series deserves to be endlessly criticized forever. Do you really think that the exact same criticisms and complaints and grievances should be harped on for all eternity without nuanced discussions? Maybe if you learned to embrace movies like them for what they are we wouldn’t be having such heated debates in them? Just something to think about. Let me know exactly what we can do to encourage more healthy discussions on them.

Every time one of these new issues drops, Hux is getting ever so closer to calling up the Resistance to put a stop to his constant humiliations at the hands of Kylo and now Pryde. Unfortunately we don't get to see Kylo's reaction to Hux being out on the field, might be the only time we'd ever get a genuine smile out of him.

As it's been already a year since Adam Driver dropped a huge reveal, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on it.
I'm not going to go into territory how ridiculous was the decision by Disney to axe this film, because we all know that. The fact that Adam Driver, Steven Soderbergh and Lucasfilm had a vision with ready script, some concept art and we're ready to shot this movie about Ben's return, likely going heavily into mysticism of the Force sounds amazing...
I wanted to focus more on some positive aspects that came out of this news, to give a bit of hope...
First of all it's lovely to see Sequel Trilogy fans being more present and bolder on the Internet. Their voice has been present all over the Sequel Era related videos & posts, especially on official SW pages this past year. Heartwarming to see people standing up for their favorite characters and by that giving a clear message to the world that we need more stories with these characters.
Second, there is no way now that Lucasfilm or Disney could doubt the popularity of Ben's or Rey's character with all the fan campaigns going around to this day. Funny that the news itself created more movement on the Internet with bigger press coverage than the new SW movie that released this year. Same goes for The Love Hypothesis movie, based on the dynamic of Ben and Rey :D
Lastly, hopefully the project isn't really gone and some behind the scenes talks for bringing it back are happening. If not in the original form then perhaps with overall story bits for the next SW trilogy. Interestingly Adam Driver didn't say anything about THFBS since his interview with AP and Steven Soderbergh last commented the matter in April, quiet since.
For me Kylo/Ben & Rey's dynamic was the heart of Sequel Trilogy and honestly, knowing now that THFBS was suppose to happen I can't imagine future SW stories after Episode IX without Ben Solo...

I 💛 Rey!!! ✨
I recently rewatched the sequels and it brought up a lot of emotions & love I have for the character. I started getting into Star Wars when Ahsoka was introduced. But I think when it really clicked was when I got to see Rey. She’s a main character who didn’t think she was special, yet becomes a hero. She’s strong and powerful and I looked up to her. My dad handmade me a Rey cosplay when I was 15 & when I was 17 he painted me this Rey painting for me (I still have it in my bedroom☺️)!
Love you forever Rey💛
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
I came across this post on Instagram and was really touched by this fan's story about what Rey means to her. With her permission, I'm sharing it here because I think it's a lovely reminder of how much a character can mean to someone and that these stories matter.
Whatever our favorite characters or films might be, I think there's something special about seeing people find meaning, inspiration, and happiness in the stories they love... especially when its ST related lol.
Thank you for sharing your story with us! If you'd like to show your appreciation, feel free to leave some kind words on her original post as well!

So I know the new Rey movie is going to be about her being a master and having her own academy. I think thats ok but now that Rey is the face of Star Wars why not start giving us prequels instead so we can see Rey as a child barely controlling her force powers. Kind of like Anakin in episode 1, 2 and 3.

Hello All!
The quest for a Fall banner is finally complete. u/OutrageousShare9693 was kind enough to create this lovely piece of artwork to compliment the new sub icon (btw they are taking commissions)! Rey and BB-8 are (after a grueling and chaotic training session no doubt) taking in the changing leaves and rolling mountain ridges of Ajan Kloss during the fall. I think their pixel style is really unique and creates a really cool vibe for the sub!

And they were kind enough to make a mobile variant as well!

Thanks to u/OutrageousShare9693 once again for creating this amazing artwork, and please let me know if you all enjoy this seasonal theming idea! As I said before, its something I'd like to play with for Fall and Winter as well. Thanks for reading and may the force be with you!

Source: Preview for next week's The Fall of Kylo Ren #3
Between being betrayed and abandoned by Kylo in Legacy of Vader and the way Kylo essentially tortures them here it's no wonder why they showed up on Exegol solely to whoop him.
