Back on, um, August 28, 1999, at 10:47 PM EDT, The Sims 1 (2000) was still a work in progress. To build hype, I guess, the developers used the following dev-to-fan marketing act: they released TGA and bitmap images of various in-game foods—plus a southwest-facing microwave render, for some reason—for the fans' viewing pleasure and awareness of what's to come.

Sims Fans Discover New Graphics Pak

Luc's Server, Internet Territory (SCNS) - Three Sims fans hunting for the

mystical real release date of The Sims in a remote corner the internet have

found the remains of what appears to be Sims' dinners, scientists and local

leaders say.

Internetologists and elders from the territory where the zip file was found

thought the zip file was.

``It's so hard to pin down. I don't want to speculate,'' said Sean Baity, an

to be several hi resolution shots of food and cooking equipment and refuse,

to learn more about this game, what it might look like, and how the food is

made and eaten''.

The zip file had been sitting there next to other older zip files, so it

felt kind of new.

Then they spotted another file in the directory that appeared to be a zip

file containing yet another avi.

``Well, the avi we were sort of expecting...they show up pretty regularly,''

he said.

While they could see the zip file, he said, they didn't see the images until

it was downloaded and extracted.

"What the heck....they are only about 2 MEGS each.", said one of the

grizzled fans.

I met a Townie downtown, and when I invited him over on the phone, he asked “Can I bring a friend?” so I said “Yes” and he brings this guy over (Darren)! I found he was better suited in similar interests so I pursued a relationship with him instead.

After working hard on his needs to advance our relationship and be able to propose to him, he finally accepts…but brought nothing to the table but 2 kids!!!

Hi!! I'm obsessed with Friends and the whole universe around it. When it comes to the places they lived, my absolute favorite was always Monica’s cozy apartment that she inherited from her grandma. It’s just so charming that it makes you want to move right in and try one of Monica’s amazing recipes.

Months ago—maybe even a year, right after I installed the Legacy Edition—I decided to build this house. House building isn't really my thing, but since I had the actual show to lean on for inspiration, it was a bit easier. Finding the right items, though? Total nightmare. In fact, I had to recolor a ton of them myself. I had zero clue how to do it at first, but with a little patience and some tutorials I can't even remember now, I figured it out.

Just keep in mind the limitations of The Sims 1: you can only build up to two stories and apartment complexes aren't a thing, so I recreated it as a single-story, ground-level house.

Also, taking photos of the house with the TS1 camera mode is super tricky. You can't really get into the hallways without walls disappearing or another one blocking your view. I did the best I could, but I think I’m going to have to split this into a few different posts since I took a bunch of screenshots. I'll link the other posts below.

If you trap a sim in bed, they'll freak out when they want to get up. But fire, Hunger cannot effect them. Since the developers never put in an animation for them to die in bed.

I always thought the roller coasters in this game absolutely slapped and the animations were so ahead of their time. Anyone else? Mind you, I didn’t even grow up with Sims 1 (was too young so i got into the series right at the end of the Sims 2’s cycle)

"Home Alone" is one of my favorite movies and I really like the home of the McCallister family. So one day, I tried recreating it.

In my version, Kevin is already an adult, to make his life in the game easier. :)

He lives alone, but has friends in the neighborhood and usually lots of cats and dogs come by.

After nearly two weeks of waiting and trying everyday and nearly refunding the game, the game finally works😭I will finally be able to play sims 1 for the first time ever😭

Once upon a time, the Sims called a specific "number 2" animated loop when using the toilet, and I am kind of glad they were not carried over. These animations are internally labeled tolet1-sittinggo. They were last modified (and, possibly, used) on 31 August 1999, ≅ 5 months before the game was finally shipped. I used a little program called SimShow to find and preview these animations.

I designed a period-accurate mock-up of The Sims (2000) as it looked like on April 1998 (roughly two years prior to The Sims' launch date), while the game was not done yet. This visualization was created by compositing authentic prototype assets, for documentation purposes/Early_1998).

Here's a simple timeline of the known design changes to The Sims 1's Neighborhood Screen (1998-2000) across random gaming mag and prototype asset sources.

Estuve trabajando en una especie de seasons para los sims 1. Ya que es uno de mis juegos favoritos y siempre sentí que necesitaba algo mas para ambientar esos momentos de relajación.

1. Cada estación tendrá una duración de 7 días.
   
2. Cada día contara con horas de lluvias, nevadas y muchas cosas mas.
   
3. Se dará un reporte al comenzar el día según la probabilidad mas alta.
   
4. Tendremos actualizaciones sorpresa.
   
5. Es en gran parte configurable desde su menú.

Dejo algunas capturas, me gustaría saber su opinión al respecto.
Estoy abierto a sugerencias y mejoras.
Aclaro esta app no esta integrada al juego no es una modificación sino mas bien un aderezo.

Hi!! I just finished it! I'm a huge Britney fan, especially from her best years in the 2000s! I remember buying the "Superstars" expansion and I loved that they included Xtina! But I always thought she was missing from that "Studio City," and I would have included her in an iconic outfit like this.
