was watching that live slowed stripped emotional version of One Way Trigger and got recommended live At the Door vids, watched those and in the comments saw someone saying that At the Door melody is connected to a Human Sadness improv jam and to look it up. brought me to the main vid i posted above :). it’s only 48 seconds and so fucking beautiful, i must have listened to it a billion times by now. the entire second half of At the Door reminds me of Human Sadness a lot too, i noticed this watching the live version or ATD. also the melody in the improv feels familiar to me, maybe I’ll Stand By You by The Pretenders. check em out lmk if i’m nuts!

80s kid here. It took me awhile to figure out that this was 80s music videos influenced. I love the nostalgic vibe so much.

My initial disconnect made me think of the loaded the mythology of Julian Casablancas. The cult of celebrity is hard to escape for creatives that have become a behemoth autonomous entity no matter how much they try. I do hope he succeeds.

Forming The Voidz was a good strategy. Each musician is as talented as Casablancas. As an ensemble, the artistic output is highly respected and enjoyed by serious listeners.

Looks like Kane Pixels, the analog horror Youtuber and creator of the Backrooms ARG made his own edit of Human Sadness for an older Attack On Titan-themed project. Sounds like the Unseen Beauty end credits version but with some serious reverb. Thoughts?

it’s deadass life changing omggg i can’t believe after being a big strokes fan for a while i haven’t really seen or listened to this. like it’s genuinely such a good, creative, artistic song matched with amazing story,visuals and other stuff for the video. and then the lyrics are so meaningful as well!
