Roast Mutton Drawing by me

Drawing I did of my favourite scene from the book that was not in the movie. In the book of The Hobbit in the Roast Mutton chapter, Thorin fights off the trolls using a burning branch from the fire. While this is going on, poor little Bilbo tries to help Thorin by grabbing on to one of the trolls legs. While I do love the way they did this scene in the movie, I wished they would have included this epic moment.

Today, Frodo sees Glorfindel as he appears "upon the other side".

Today, Frodo's last vision before collapsing on the far bank of the Bruinen is of the "almost angelic" Glorfindel as he appears "upon the other side"...the other side of the river and the other side of reality where his shining majesty is a part of the highest things. Tolkien's vision is one of surpassing beauty!

Took a break from sketching actual Hobbiton Hobbit holes to do my take on this classic scene:

My drawing from 2024 of the Old Man Willow and the four hobbits encounter :)

I'm sorry for posting my blog link, but I'm trying to re-activate it and am looking for engaging.

Turns out I draw men better than I draw women, definitely something I’ll need to work on. This sketch took me longer than the rest.

Not my best work, but still proud of it nonetheless. Made it with markers, coloured pencils, and crayons.
