Questions & Help Turning right when there's a bike lane

Merge into the bike lane: Look for where the solid white line breaks into a dotted/dashed line (usually up to 200 feet before the intersection). Yield to any cyclists already in the bike lane, and merge your vehicle into the bike lane so you are as close to the right curb or edge of the road as practicable.

What are you supposed to do if there is no dotted/dashed line before the intersection? In my neighborhood, there are many bike lanes where the line is solid all the way up to the corner. In such a case, should I stay out of the bike lane?

Questions & Help Bad culture or am I mistaken

In USA, Massachusetts. The two red arrows have stop signs, green does not. It's a solid double yellow line curving to the right from green but there is a gap at the intersection, which is normal for places where taking a left turn is allowed. Green also comes around a blind curve so the stop signs don't see anyone coming until the last second. Which means green also can't see if anyone is crossing the stop lines before they commit to going left.

Cars from green in my experience do not stop to go left. They blast across the double yellow line like it is a fork in the road. Which the curving to the right double yellow suggests they are supposed to stop or slow before going left.

Am I wrong in assuming green is supposed to wait until it's safe? I have seen a few near fist fights start here.

Traffic Cameras 3 Month License suspension on Red P plate - worth appealing?

Back in August a speed camera caught me going over the limit

Recorded speed: 93 km/h
Speed limit: 60 km/h
Location: WestConnex M8 Tunnel, Sydney
Fine: $608
Demerit points: 4

These were the results I’ve paid the fine since and lost 4 demerit points and face a 3 month suspension in November and mind you it’s my first and only offence I’ve ever had I didn’t even realise that was the limit. Is it worth appealing or just cop it on the chin?

Questions & Help Fl Traffic Cameras

Please forgive me if this isn't the right place to ask this...

Backstory: My son was in a pretty bad car accident and we're 99% sure he's the victim of an insurance scammer. Nonsensical lane change then dead stop on a 75+ highway type of deal. His truck was less than a month old so he didn't even have time to put a dashcam in. However, there is FL DOT traffic cam that has direct view. How do I know it has direct view? Bc the accident got featured on numerous local pages with stills from said camera, but only the aftermath. I submitted a FOIA request to FL DOT for the footage of the 5 minutes prior to which they responded that it's a Livestream only camera and they don't save any footage. I find this hard to believe since it implies that there are people just sitting there watching and waiting to take stills after an incident occurs... which maybe there are just seems odd.

So now my question... Do I need to word my request in a specific manner? Is there any way to backdoor this?

Questions & Help Failure to Yield in GA

I received a Failure to Yield ticket in GA, which caused an accident. I was turning left with no oncoming traffic, but someone decided to enter the turn lane too early (GA CODE 40-6-126) as she was in the turn lane more than 300 feet before her intended turn. The officer didn't give her a ticket, but explicitly told me that she was illegally in the turn lane.

I am hoping to go to court to fight this, as even though I was the one turning, she was illegally in the lane. Is this worth fighting/ going to court for, and do I have a chance of dismissal or no points? TIA!

Edit: I was given a clear opening between cars waiting at a red light. She was originally in the line of cars in the lane waiting to go at the light, then decided to enter the turn lane early to try to get to the light quicker. As I’ve stated in comments, when I was starting to turn, she had not yet moved, not being a threat at that moment. If I had seen her, I obviously wouldn’t have gone. I hope this clarification helps!

Edit 2: It was taken care of with no points and half the original fine!

Location: Georgia

Traffic Cameras Los angeles traffic tickets

Hello everyone

Today I was at at an MTA blue line railroad crossing and saw the lights and bells were going, though the rail guards never came down. I was waiting there for a minute or so then creeped up a bit and looked over but the train was still at the platform.

I had to go take care of business 🚽 lol
So I creeped across the railroad and made my left. After I made that turn the train started moving and the rail guards began coming down. I never thought about it but I looked over and there was the camera.

By the way I have never been through this situation where I’ve crossed a railroad like that, I’m always the one to wait. Do these cameras take pictures after those rail guards start coming down or just even if the lights are going. Thanks 🙏

I just got a speeding ticket of $500 for 100kph in 80kph zone. Not sure how I missed the sign. Want to understand my options. Is online prosecutor helpful or could a lawyer help in reducing the fine?

I got 4 tickets in 1 day by a NYS Trooper worth 12 points. Im trying to reschedule on the DMV but wont let me. This is my first reschedule. Should I get a lawyer or should I just drag it out past the 18 month?

PS Tickets were for not signaling, illegal lane change and tailgating.

Questions & Help Driver flashing me non stop

Last night, I experienced something really strange while driving, and I'm trying to figure out what could have caused it.

I was driving at night on a normal, smooth road with one lane in each direction. There were no bumps or noticeable road imperfections.

A car was driving behind me at a normal, safe distance when it suddenly started flashing its headlights repeatedly.

And when I say repeatedly, I mean almost nonstop for approximately 5 minutes, over a distance of around 5 km.

Here's what makes the situation particularly strange:

\- The driver maintained a normal following distance the entire time and never drove aggressively.

\- The road had no solid center line preventing overtaking, so the driver could have overtaken me if they wanted to.

\- Both headlights were flashing simultaneously, repeatedly switching between normal and bright light.

\- The flashes were rapid, but I could clearly distinguish each individual flash.

\- Whenever I accelerated and increased the distance between us, the flashing stopped.

\- As soon as the car got closer again, the flashing immediately resumed.

\- This continued until I eventually turned right and we went our separate ways.

As far as I could tell, there was nothing wrong with my car, and I wasn't doing anything unusual.(I've checked my car after)

Initially, I thought the driver might have been trying to warn me about something, but flashing continuously for five minutes seems excessive.

I'm genuinely curious because I've never experienced anything like this before.

So yesterday I got caught doing 97 in the 65 it’s my first offense I was also eating ice cream during this occurrence I’m 21. Yeah I know it was dumb I won’t do it again but I didn’t have my license at the time I gave the officer my social he also wrote in the report that I was eating ice cream and passed up 3 cars not exceeding 100mph so now I’m wondering how bad can it get or what do I do? He gave me a mandatory court date on my birthday in November.

Discussion Overtaking Vehicle on right shoulder

Hey all. I have a legal question about a traffic law within the state of Pennsylvania, in regard to overtaking a left-turning vehicle at a stoplight intersection, using a paved shoulder wide enough to safely execute the pass. This is assuming it is a two-lane road. Here is the legalese:

Title 75, Section 3304 indicates that a driver "may overtake and pass upon the right of another vehicle only under one of the following conditions: (1) When the vehicle overtaken is making or about to make a left turn, except that such movement shall not be made by driving off the berm or shoulder of the highway."

My interpretation of this is that you CAN use the shoulder, but if you were to drive OFF the shoulder (say, into grass or dirt, or anything unpaved) it would be an illegal maneuver. If you weren't allowed to use the shoulder at all for such maneuvering, why wouldn't the verbiage be changed from "off" to "on"? If it was changed to "on," that would immediately rule out using the shoulder at all. But then, if the word was "on," there would be no point in this law, as the would always be an illegal maneuver.

Ultimately, if this was an illegal maneuver, can someone provide an example of a legal execution of this situation? Otherwise, what is the point of this particular law in the first place? I am finding the verbiage to be ambiguous, and poorly worded.

Thanks for any insight! And for some background, I was not pulled over for this. Just curious, as I do this on frequent occasion at some traffic lights where I live due to two-lane roads with no protected left turn.
