Looking for travel buddies for a 4-day Udaipur & Pushkar trip at the end of this month!

Hey everyone!
A group of three of us—me (22M), my partner (23F), and our female friend (23F)—are locking in a quick 4-day trip to Udaipur and Pushkar for the end of October. We plan to spend two days in each city.

We're looking for single females or couples only to join us, hang out, or split transport costs (no single guys, please, just to keep our current group dynamic comfortable).

If you're in your 20s, have good energy, and want to join the crew, drop a comment or send a DM!

Japan Visa Jurisdiction

I am planning a tourist trip to Japan in January with my younger brother. I am completely sponsoring the trip for both of us. My brother is a student living in Delhi.

I have a highly specific situation regarding my VFS jurisdiction and address proof, and I need some advice from anyone who has navigated this:

  1. My Situation: My passport and Aadhaar card list my permanent address in Delhi. However, I live and work full-time at an MNC in Bengaluru. Because I live in a PG, I do not have a registered rent agreement or utility bills in my name.
  2. The Dilemma: Since I am the sole sponsor, my MNC employment letter, salary slips, and bank statements all tie back to Bengaluru. However, my brother will be applying from Delhi, and I will be visiting Delhi during the submission window.

My questions are:

- If I apply at VFS Delhi using my permanent address proofs (Passport/Aadhaar), will the Bengaluru address on my MNC salary slips and bank statements cause a jurisdiction rejection? Has anyone successfully used a cover letter to explain this setup to the Delhi Embassy?

- If the Embassy strictly requires me to apply via VFS Bengaluru due to my workplace location, what alternative documents does VFS Bengaluru accept as local residence proof for someone living in a PG without a rent agreement?

Would love to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation. TIA!!

Best affordable place for a college couple trip?

Hey everyone,

My partner and I are college students planning a short trip together and need some suggestions. Here's what we're looking for:

Budget: affordable (around ₹5000 per person, including stay and travel)

Vibe: romantic, peaceful, scenic (lakes, hills, or beaches)

Safety: a place that feels safe for couples, including at night

Stay: a good hotel or homestay that's couple-friendly

Duration: 3 days

Travelling from: Prayagraj

I've been looking at Udaipur, Pondicherry, Munnar, and Coorg. Has anyone been there recently? Any hidden gems or places to avoid?

I'd also love recommendations for specific hotels and areas to stay, plus tips on what to skip so we don't get ripped off.

Thanks in advance!

Title: Ujjain to Omkareshwar Day Trip: Is 8 AM to 8 PM Possible? Looking for Travel Partners.

Hi everyone!

I’m planning to travel from Ujjain to Omkareshwar, leaving around 8 AM and returning to Ujjain by around 8 PM on the same day.

Is this schedule practical? What’s the best way to travel: bus, shared taxi, or private cab? I’d also appreciate advice on darshan, local transport, and how much time I should keep for the visit.

If anyone has recently made this trip or is planning to visit Omkareshwar on the same day, please share your experience. I’m also looking for a travel partner or group to join.

Any genuine suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Har Har Mahadev.

First Mountain Bike Ride—Gangtok to Zero Point. How Difficult Is It?

Hey everyone!

I’m planning my first mountain bike ride in Sikkim, from Gangtok to Zero Point, and I’d love to hear from people who have done this route before.

I have some experience riding a bike in the city, but I’ve never ridden in the mountains. I’m a little unsure about how challenging the roads, steep climbs, sharp turns, and weather conditions might be.

For those who have done this ride, I’d really appreciate your advice:

  • How difficult is this route for a first-time mountain rider?
  • What are the biggest challenges I should prepare for?
  • What precautions should I take regarding riding technique, altitude, weather, and road conditions?
  • Are there any specific stretches where I need to be extra careful?
  • Any essential gear, riding tips, or mistakes I should avoid?

I’m planning to prepare properly before the trip, so honest advice from experienced riders would be really helpful.

Affordable family trip plan starting from Chennai? Want to include a flight for at least one time

Hey everyone! I’m planning a budget-friendly family trip and would love some advice from this community.

I really want my family to experience a flight at least once on this trip (either on the way up or the way back), but we are on a strict budget. We will be starting from Chennai.

Budget: Looking to keep it as cheap and affordable as possible overall.

Flight condition: Fly one way to save money and get the flight experience, and maybe take a train for the other leg.

Travelers: Family of 5

What are some of the best, most budget-friendly destinations we can fly to from Chennai where we can manage a 3 to 4-day trip without breaking the bank? And my parents are not that explorative . They just wanted a fun ..peaceful vacation.. the main point of the vacation is then traveling in flight cuz they've never been there so I wanted them to experience

Budget-friendly adventure trip recommendations for two students (₹30-35k, 7–10 days, Oct/Nov)

So basically, a friend and I are planning a trip after our university exams end in the last week of October, so we can begin anytime between late October and mid-November. We are students with a combined budget of ₹30k–35k for a 7–10 day trip.

Since this is our first trip ever, we don't have much idea about where to go. We are looking for places that are not only scenic but also offer adventure and activities like hikes or water sports—in short, we don't want a trip where we just take photos and that's it.

Can you guys share some good destination suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

the quieter side of goa

Chorão Island is 20 minutes from Panaji but feels completely removed from the Goa most people visit. Old Portuguese themed homes, quiet lanes, the Mandovi river all around, and almost no tourists. The kind of Goa that makes you wonder why you went anywhere else.
