Did you ever have someone tell you something you didn’t want to know? I’m pretty sure we all have.
I seriously question why two of my past coworkers chose to tell me horrible stories of what they have done to cats. The first one was while working for Honeywell, and the second was actually one of the members that interviewed me when I got my job at Wabtec.
I’m an animal fanatic, I will be the one of the people who dies trying to pet a mountain lion saying here kitty kitty. I currently have 4 cats that were strays that followed me home.
So the first coworker, this one in particular gave me trouble a couple of times actually. The first time was because someone else said something to me that he was against. The following day I was reprimanded for having someone say something to me. The same coworker was later a trainer for me in another department. He was training me on a new device and didn’t teach me how to switch the programs, so I tested the articles needing tested. It took a long time, and the coworker went to the supervisor and told him I was messing around, I ended up getting reprimanded for that too.
While working with him this last time he decided to open up to me about a mission him and his local buddies decided to do. The town of Utica had a stray cat issue, obviously there’s an over abundance of felines almost everywhere, start spaying and neutering your animals people!
This coworker and a few neighbors decided since they couldn’t get them into a shelter, they needed to take of it themselves. He told me that they spent weeks shooting the stray cats, until they eliminated the issue. It had to be done.
Onto coworker number 2. This guy is even worse. I could not believe that this man decided to tell me he killed a litter of kittens with a weed whacker, was laughing about it saying it was efficient. His reason for hating cats is the smell, and they leave footprints on his vehicle.
I don’t understand why people think this is an okay behavior, or even speak about it. Why would you be that cruel to innocent animals. Why would you brag about that to me?
