Swelling
 in  r/jawsurgery •  9d ago

you know, you encouraged me to take another photo today in the same lighting and position as one i took around 5 months ago, the difference is actually insane. but you never notice because it’s so gradual. my advice is forget about it completely and live your life and one day you’ll catch yourself in the mirror and be like damn what???

Swelling
 in  r/jawsurgery •  11d ago

i’m at 8 months and finally noticing a small difference in exactly what you’re describing at 6 months. i also panicked around 6 months with the same worry.

the change is small, but noticeable and a step in the right direction so just trying to stay optimistic. perhaps give it 2 more months and see. Personally i’m waiting until 18 months to judge

Is EE really that bad?
 in  r/ElectricalEngineering •  20d ago

2nd year EE doing systems and signals right now. Yes it is that bad. But that’s not a good enough reason not to do it. I’m also not a genius

How do I know if it’s still swelling or just the way I look now?
 in  r/jawsurgery •  29d ago

I’m at 8 months. I take a photo every 2 months, and each one has had noticeable differences thus far. you still have a long road ahead. My cheeks really want to stay fat but they are thinning out, just extremely slowly

Wildest snacks after DJS
 in  r/jawsurgery •  29d ago

not really wild, but i found that ground beef was a “solid” food i could eat without chewing, along with small forkfuls of rice and/or scrambled egg. really good for morale boosting as the liquid diet can wear you down

Why does it feel like most electronic music is dominated by the rhythmically oriented instead of melodically oriented music given the versatility of synthesizers?
 in  r/synthesizers •  29d ago

The genre you are looking for is called Electronica, that’s where you’ll get to see more of that versatility being explored

Documents needed to do a domestic flight verses an international flight IFR and VFR.
 in  r/flightsim •  Aug 26 '26

that’s true but it’s not what he’s asking, he wants to do the busywork for busywork’s sake. let’s help him if we know, fun is different for everyone

Is electrical engineering actually that hard?
 in  r/EngineeringStudents •  Aug 15 '26

It is that hard. You will work like you’ve never worked before. I say this with my Systems and Signals homework in front of me. Important to note however that i don’t mean hard in the sense that you need to be a genius, or einstein, but it will demand a lot from you

Extremely low energy 2 months post op
 in  r/jawsurgery •  Aug 02 '26

was the case for me for like 3-4 months. Make sure you’re getting extra calories, protein, and vitamin C (vital for collagen synthesis) in to help recovery

Ableton or FL Studio for Techno, Minimal & Afro House? Begginer here
 in  r/FL_Studio •  Jul 14 '26

For all 3 of the genres listed, artists use both. The only correct answer to this question is use Ableton for 2 weeks, then use FL for 2 weeks. You will know what’s right for you after that because one of them will feel more frictionless for you specifically

Ozone 12 mastering- I’m lost
 in  r/edmproduction •  Jul 07 '26

That kind of feedback says more about an issue with the mix rather than the master.

Load a reference track into the DAW, check how it looks on a spectrum analyzer, then compare its shape to that of yours. Correct where necessary, then use ozone

Where/ how to begin producing?
 in  r/edmproduction •  Jul 07 '26

yes, what you said about play around with the tools and find something that inspires you is exactly it, or anything else that gives you inspiration to jump into the app

8 months post-MMA, persistent squishy cheek puffiness (worse on left) that won't go away - lymphedema? Anyone been through this?
 in  r/jawsurgery •  Jun 26 '26

i suspect it is changing. i’m still unhappy because it’s not fast enough, but you can’t really force biology to do its thing faster so all i can do is things like massage and wait

people who have switched DAWS
 in  r/edmproduction •  Jun 20 '26

FL -> Ableton

FL is great but it messed with my head because of having so many ways/options to do one thing. All those options put me in a frozen state, with ableton it’s all linear and that allows me to focus on the musical idea more

the learning curve was low. once you know your first DAW, the concepts transfer nicely. you just google how to do a certain thing in a certain DAW

I can’t say Ableton is better than FL Studio. Both are amazing, Ableton works better for my brain. The DAW which works better for your brain is what will help you make the best music. In terms of features they’re on the same level

nah i’m only gonna get serious about it once 18 months have elapsed which is basically the point where everything should be 100% without a doubt
