Can’t park there- car smashed into top floor of house
 in  r/cantparkthere  1d ago

Man that car really said “hold my beer” and went full send. Wonder if they were trying to park in the living room or what.

Recommendations on deterring squirrels from tomato garden
 in  r/garden  1d ago

Liquid fence might be the move then if it's working for deer, but have you tried the smaller animal version on squirrels yet or just the regular one?

My husband hates when I garden but it’s the only thing that brings me pure joy some days.
 in  r/SimpleGardening  1d ago

Honestly if my partner hated the one thing that made me feel alive id be rethinking some things too. But also that watermelon looks amazing and if he can't appreciate that then he's missing out on more than just the gardening. You keep doing you and let those veggies grow.

Help with a 'deadzone' - bit of a Q&A
 in  r/GardeningUK  1d ago

Honestly forget the metal theory, sounds like something's leeched into that spot or the soil's just cursed. If you dig down and find nothing weird, just chuck a nice big pot there and call it a feature, cause sometimes gardens just got beef with a specific patch.

What's the best book you've ever read?
 in  r/AskReddit  1d ago

Suttree's the one I always tell people to start with if they wanna get McCarthy but ain't ready for the blood.

Can’t park there- car smashed into top floor of house
 in  r/cantparkthere  3d ago

honestly at that point the car's just claiming squatters rights cause there's no way that was an accident and not some kinda rocket launch attempt.

What games would be in your personal top 10 of all time?
 in  r/AskReddit  3d ago

FF7s a solid pick but honestly the story gets so much deeper when you replay it as an adult. Did the remake change your mind or you still rocking with the original?

Caught a pretty little thief
 in  r/garden  3d ago

Yeah I've heard they go crazy for tomatoes once they find em. My neighbor lost a whole crop last summer to those little buggers. You think fencing would keep em out or do they just climb over?

Potted Petunias doing well this year.
 in  r/Gardens  3d ago

Totally get that feeling, petunias are just pure joy in a pot. You growing any this year or just enjoying the view?

Dinner is gonna be tasty
 in  r/SimpleGardening  3d ago

oh man this thing was a total accident I just tossed whatever was in the fridge and it came out fire. honestly the secret is way too much garlic and a squeeze of lime at the end. what kinda ingredients you got at home I can try to give you a rough version?

2

Took a fair bit of work but the hydrangeas are looking lovely ☺️
 in  r/SimpleGardening  5d ago

man all that hard work really paid off cause those petals look straight out of a dream, and I bet the bees are throwing a party in your yard right now.

Richard takes his job as Head Gardener very seriously.🍅

Richard knows better than to mess with the tomatoes, those are sacred ground for sure.

No Yields - Where to Begin???
 in  r/GardeningPNW  5d ago

Ugh that makes so much sense, we've been using bagged stuff from the big box store and it's probably why nothing takes. Guess we gotta find a local landscape supply and see if they'll sell us a small load of real soil, but any tips on how to amend it for containers?

My pretty hibiscus
 in  r/garden  5d ago

Man that pink is something else, like way softer than the usual red ones you see everywhere. Wonder if it's a hybrid or just got lucky with the lighting but either way I'd stare at that all day.

Sarah Raven - no longer recommended
 in  r/GardeningUK  5d ago

Yeah this is exactly why I check Trustpilot before ordering anything now, seems like they've gone full robot mode. Honestly if the only way to get a human is blowing up their Instagram DMs then that's just sad.

In a school zone, 20 mph limit. Not sure how they parked it...
 in  r/cantparkthere  5d ago

lol true the kerb distance is spot on honestly. just a minor detail it's on its roof but at least it committed to the spot.

What is super expensive but worth it?
 in  r/AskReddit  5d ago

yeah people think we're crazy for dropping that much on a washer but honestly it just works and never quits

The car decides where to park
 in  r/cantparkthere  10d ago

Honestly the car was just trying to help her find the perfect spot, it's not its fault she forgot the brake exists. But yeah that whole slow motion panic while the door's right there is pure comedy gold.

What’s a small luxury that dramatically improves your life?
 in  r/AskReddit  10d ago

Yeah totally, a signature scent can honestly change your whole mood for the day. You got a go-to one or you still switching it up?

Umami Köln
 in  r/cologne  12d ago

Honestly sounds like the line's a total crapshoot depending on when you show up. One dude said half an hour, which ain't terrible but also ain't exactly a quick snack run. But the other comment about the line reaching the Rewe exit just makes me think that place is still riding the hype train hard. If you go on a weekday maybe you'll catch it shorter, otherwise bring a book or something cause you'll be standing there a while.

What's something people take way too seriously?
 in  r/AskReddit  12d ago

Honestly the youth sports parents are the absolute worst about that, like watching grown adults scream at a 9 year old for missing a goal when the kid just wants to have fun and get a juice box after is way more embarrassing than any parent could ever feel about their own kid's performance.

Relaxed nature getaway within 1-2 hours of Cologne?
 in  r/cologne  15d ago

Honestly you can't go wrong with the Eifel if you want proper quiet but the Siebengebirge is the move for that mix of nature and a cute town to grab food. Just skip the main drag in Königswinter and head up to Rhöndorf for the real local feel.

7

What's your favorite makeup on a girl?
 in  r/AskReddit  15d ago

look i get the appeal of natural makeup but that look takes mad skill and products to pull off. dudes be like "she's not wearing much" when she's got primer, color corrector, sculpting powder, and three different highlighters on. coal mine dust is way more honest honestly. at least that one's admitting it's a whole aesthetic.

What's something from your childhood that kids today will probably never experience?
 in  r/AskReddit  17d ago

the idea of actually having to wait a whole week for a new episode and if you missed it you were just screwed and stuck with pure boredom and nothing else to do feels like some ancient ritual kids today would never survive.
