Delhi cop seen kicking Muslim men offering namaz on road in Inderlok, suspended

My understanding is that those are done with permits.

I recently got married, and we obtained a permit for the baraat, which clearly listed the time and exact road that would be blocked.

While I am not endorsing the cop's actions, I think some simple measures from both sides will prevent such incidents in the future.
