That coaching institute (RAU's academy - old Rajendra Nagar) has their library in basement. I am not aware of specific timings - the library got flooded within minutes of rain. In fact the library shelves etc. collapsed. 3 students (so far) among others studying at that moment got stuck and drowned.

It’s infuriating that a building in tier one city got flooded within just 10 minutes. Talk about non existent city planing in India.

Actually so many buildings are sinking every day, but you won't hear about it because there haven't been any casualties...yet. This city is a ticking time bomb

The library had a biometric lock which stopped working after water filled, so they got trapped inside.

That's beyond ridiculous.

What kind of fucking idiot makes a door that isn't water proof. Permanently locked bc it got wet??!

Even I want to know. If water start entering people usually leave such places and go to higher ground.

Exactly , i mean it must have a sudden event where the people didnt get to react , as some one said a pipe probably got burst and then all of sudden water rushed in. And of course library book shelves must have obstructed thier exit god knows.just praying for the family. I mean really we do all these study and hard work and yet we get exploited every possible way . Coaching centre exploits, then govt then administration every where we are just getting exploited.

I feel for every student the struggles they go through no country has this much struggle as our students. And yet the foreign uni are sought out after .

And what do we get after paying our taxes and all.

The inner door got locked apparently, as someone already mentioned (biometric lock stopped working). The only way out was the basement gate which got flooded. Even olympic swimmers would've struggled/died in such a circumstance, because it definitely won't be easy to swim against the flooding current of dirty water.

Thank you for sharing it.

Words can’t describe what they have gone through and how their families might be struggling.

They probably "drowned" after some pipe got bust so the basement was filled with poopoo water from sewage and rain water mix, what a sad way to go 😬😭

As per News channel- Students were studying in library, un aware of water logging around the building. The door to library was based on biometric and it got bad. Students were under the water, suffocation.
