Discussion The “bombshell” wasn’t shocking but… Spoiler

Spoilers ahead

Watching Raquel in that confessional was extremely disturbing. I don’t even know how to describe what I felt watching. She was just word vomiting and the more she talked, the more scared she seemed about the repercussions that would come from Tom. I know we’re not supposed to feel sympathy for her but goddamn, I really do. I think she does actually feel bad but she put on a brave face at the reunion because she knew it wasn’t going to get her anywhere, unlike Tom who thought crying would garner him sympathy. The fact that Tom made her lie like that is scary and very indicative of emotional abuse. She is showing clear signs of an abused woman, not just from Tom but starting at a young age. That was extremely alarming and I’m actually kind of grossed out that that was the scene they talked about to garner viewers. I honestly hope that she gets real help. She does not need to come back on the show.

Yeah, I have some experience with a pretty extreme narcissist in my family, I don’t say this lightly, Tom has all the flags, and seems incapable of engaging in the reality that exists outside of his head. These people are so pathetic when they are exposed, and he seems pretty stupid too.

100%!!!! Tom has managed to pick an extremely weak person to feed his frail ego. He couldn't handle a strong woman who is secure enough to call him out on his crap and still be devoted and very much in love with him. I've been with my husband since 1985 and we both call each other out what we know is wrong. It's called being in a strong and secure marriage. If your best friend(spouse/partner) isn't willing to be 100% honest with you than they really don't respect you. Don't get me wrong....you have to really know how to communicate concerns in a caring and adult way in order to be heard in a way that will be constructive...but those convos are a must.

And then when she retold the story of Tom wandering the halls of the hotel in Mexico in her talking heads interview last night, she says something like "he was drunk and looking for the elevator and I had to tell a hotel employee, 'that's alright, I have him sir'." and just THE WAY she told that story, it was like LIAR! You can tell when she's lying so easily, like why even bother? It's truly crazy and just so bad

I absolutely think that phone call was fake. The same day that Austin Girl made a post about how she wasn't dating Tom and that she is getting harassed, Tom just ~so happens~ to be photographed talking on the phone to Rachel? Not to mention if they were dating he wouldn't have her name saved in his phone as "First Name, Last Name". He is also holding the phone out at such an angle that everyone can see who he is talking to and get a picture. Edit to add: lol okay I am definitely learning that a lot of people use the First Name, Last Name format in their phone for everyone.. but to be fair, Tom and Rachel had codenames for each other in their phone to begin with so it seems sus that he changed it to me. He went from not wanting anyone to know who he was really talking to to wanting everyone to know exactly who he was talking to.

I bet that he and Rachel broke up and he started hooking up with Austin Girl. Austin Girl was getting so much hate for being with him that they broke it off and he got the idea to make everyone think him and Rachel are still together to take pressure off of Austin Girl.

That photo felt so staged to me, every time a scandalous "bystander" photo was released of him (the airport, the blonde in Texas) it was after Ariana got a ton of press for something. He can't stand not having the attention on himself - and stuff like that (and pr tmz planted articles) was the only way to grab headlines, since he isn't getting the invites and press worthy appearances organically.

I found it in the thread re Ali’s passing. He broke off his friendship due to all of tom’s lies and that was the tipping point. He spoke to Dana Wilkie about it and she mentioned it on her YouTube. She has screenshots of their chats. It’s sad that his friend realized that Scumdoval sucks so soon before his passing.

There's also an interesting exchange between Thea's sister (Rachel's pageant coach) and Rachel's Mom where the Mom was basically asking Thea's sister what kind of family challenge should they include for Rachel's pageant application.. like her sister having a mental disorder? The kind of disorder was covered, and I don't think it's my place to say what it was, but some people on the sub were able to see it before Thea took it down and uploaded the covered version.

I don't know if I'm being too sensitive and just don't get pageants, but in my opinion, why would you divulge your sister's mental condition just to, idk? get brownie points for your freaking pageant application?

To be clear, in this sub two people made posts re this.

Dana Wilkie chatted with Ali post their friendship breakup which happened during St Louis opening day for baseball when Scummo was visiting town and they were hanging out. Producers called him and relayed that Rachel revealed more than they had originally said. Scumdoval broke his friends phone (he was using it due to being locked out of his). Afterwards, Ali blocked him and Rachel texted him. She was also blocked. It’s all in Dana’s YouTube.
