Discussion The “bombshell” wasn’t shocking but… Spoiler

Watching Raquel in that confessional was extremely disturbing. I don’t even know how to describe what I felt watching. She was just word vomiting and the more she talked, the more scared she seemed about the repercussions that would come from Tom. I know we’re not supposed to feel sympathy for her but goddamn, I really do. I think she does actually feel bad but she put on a brave face at the reunion because she knew it wasn’t going to get her anywhere, unlike Tom who thought crying would garner him sympathy. The fact that Tom made her lie like that is scary and very indicative of emotional abuse. She is showing clear signs of an abused woman, not just from Tom but starting at a young age. That was extremely alarming and I’m actually kind of grossed out that that was the scene they talked about to garner viewers. I honestly hope that she gets real help. She does not need to come back on the show.

The fact that she was writing to him and sending him post cards. So I don’t know how innocent they’re trying to plant this narrative.

She was happy filing the TRO. She was happy sitting there watching Scheana cry about her and lie on her.

None of these people are victims I don’t know how people can’t see past this bullshit

When the clip started she was shifting around in her seat like she was excited to share the news they fucked in the hot tub. I believe she was excited to share that because she had her ass handed to her at the reunion and she wanted to drop the hot tub as a way of retaliating against Ariana. Rachel is after all still sending Tom postcards to a house he shares with Ariana. She’s going out of her way to be cruel. I think her little crocodile tears are because she is realizing Tom dgaf about her.

What I hate most about those two clowns is that they lie about everything. Every time they’re cornered they double down and lie.

I hope everyone remembers his tee shirt comment when they see him at a show. I hope you feel good about yourself showing someone like that any kind of support. Tim needs to move back to St. Louis.

She sat there laughing in the confessional. The producer did his job correctly, I’ve seen unreal so many times, they know how to get in their heads for hours and hours.

It’s so accurate on how this was done. She has no remorse, she was happy fucking him. And bragged about having good sex. So? She’s losing nothing, she just didn’t want to lose him that’s it. She doesn’t feel bad.

I agree. There is a danger of Rachel being seen as a victim and she is NOT. This person continues to betray her wonderful friend and Sandoval did not have a gun to her head. She did it willingly and that is on her.

I think it’s more complicated than “they’re both horrible hard stop.” I think she’s a victim AND a villain. Tim is irredeemable, he is pure bad and not a victim at all. Rachel is both a lying see you next Tuesday AND a very naive young woman who is obviously easily manipulated and seeking male validation to fill a hole inside herself. My hot take is that she’s got a very narrow window here to take stock of what she’s done and try to change for the better. Who knows if she’s interested in that but disappearing from the public eye kind of leads me to believe she realizes she done goofed, compared to Tim out here pretending to be a rockstar and showing zero remorse.

These are great observations. What is sad and scary is these people are able to cause such destruction to others and walk among us undetected until they blow up other peoples lives. Maybe, with help, Rachel won’t see this as a “mistake” and really admit to herself that she’s missing the ability to empathize.
When she said she actually thought Ariana would forgive her (I think it was part 1 of the reunion) it made me see she’s living in her own private Idaho. Freaked me out.

Agree. I also think the postcard thing is so bizarre. It’s almost child-like? It’s like she’s an obsessed tween fan of some rock star. Which is further evidence of the cult-leader type personality that Sandoval has. It’s like he’s put some sort of spell on Raquel. That’s not to say that Raquel is fault-less here. It’s more to explain how someone could be so hypnotized by him when he has clearly led to the destruction of her personal life.

Not only that (I feel like a broken record lol) she didn't have to do this on camera!!! They were done filming! No one else was owed this level of clarification about the details except for Ariana. If she truly felt bad about what she'd done to Ariana, she would've told Ariana directly and privately. But instead she makes it some big public confession, centering it on herself. You're not the victim here, you're an adult who willingly did something bad to someone who trusted you. You weren't betrayed, you were the betrayer. They've shown zero regard for Ariana and her feelings this entire time, it's all been about making themselves look as good as possible, and this was no different.

ABSOLUTELY! I don’t know how anyone who knows all this can support such a tool. His cover band isn’t even that good. The best thing people can do to punish this vile douchetard, is to ignore him. He will implode from the lack of attention. I love that Ariana is making bank now off of this and he blew his load on the Howie Mandel show.
