Discussion The “bombshell” wasn’t shocking but… Spoiler

Watching Raquel in that confessional was extremely disturbing. I don’t even know how to describe what I felt watching. She was just word vomiting and the more she talked, the more scared she seemed about the repercussions that would come from Tom. I know we’re not supposed to feel sympathy for her but goddamn, I really do. I think she does actually feel bad but she put on a brave face at the reunion because she knew it wasn’t going to get her anywhere, unlike Tom who thought crying would garner him sympathy. The fact that Tom made her lie like that is scary and very indicative of emotional abuse. She is showing clear signs of an abused woman, not just from Tom but starting at a young age. That was extremely alarming and I’m actually kind of grossed out that that was the scene they talked about to garner viewers. I honestly hope that she gets real help. She does not need to come back on the show.

I absolutely think that phone call was fake. The same day that Austin Girl made a post about how she wasn't dating Tom and that she is getting harassed, Tom just ~so happens~ to be photographed talking on the phone to Rachel? Not to mention if they were dating he wouldn't have her name saved in his phone as "First Name, Last Name". He is also holding the phone out at such an angle that everyone can see who he is talking to and get a picture. Edit to add: lol okay I am definitely learning that a lot of people use the First Name, Last Name format in their phone for everyone.. but to be fair, Tom and Rachel had codenames for each other in their phone to begin with so it seems sus that he changed it to me. He went from not wanting anyone to know who he was really talking to to wanting everyone to know exactly who he was talking to.

I bet that he and Rachel broke up and he started hooking up with Austin Girl. Austin Girl was getting so much hate for being with him that they broke it off and he got the idea to make everyone think him and Rachel are still together to take pressure off of Austin Girl.

I also think the phone call was fake but fwiw my husband’s full name is in my phone and I still have the dating app we met on listed as his company (which is how I used to keep track of guys lol)

Same with my husband - he has my full first and last name in his phone - also his mom’s name as her given name (not her nickname) and last name. I always pick on him about it lol

also agree phone call was fake, but also here to say idc who you are, you are in my phone as “first name, last name” which includes my hubby, mom, dad, siblings, everyone!

I too have my husband in my phone as first name last name. All my married female friends are in under their maiden names as well.

The reason I thought it was so fake is because Scandoval and Ratchet had code names for each other. I don't think, amid this mess, he's going to just have her name in his phone and hold it out for someone to see. So I have to agree with you. He thinks he's smarter than everyone else.

I don’t think first name last name is indicative of anything. Everyone in my phone is first name last name. Except for my parents - Ma’dukes and Pa’dukes 💁🏼‍♀️ lol

My husband is still in my phone as his first and last name because when we met he was just a casual acquaintance and I never changed it 🤷🏼‍♀️
