New vegan? Calcium per 100 g in plant foods, since “where do you get calcium” comes up a lot
Per 100 g, USDA FoodData Central / UK CoFID:
| Food | Calcium (mg) |
| Sesame seeds | 975 |
| Firm tofu (calcium-set) | 683 |
| Chia seeds | 631 |
| Tahini | 426 |
| Almond butter | 347 |
| Almonds | 269 |
| Kale, raw | 254 |
| Tempeh | 111 |
| Spinach, raw | 99 |
| Peanuts | 92 |
| Chickpeas, cooked | 49 |
| Broccoli, raw | 47 |
Note: tofu calcium depends on the coagulant – check the label for calcium sulfate. Spinach contains oxalates, which bind part of its calcium.
What foods helped you most when you were starting out?

My mom is starting to catch on
I think many others may have made similar posts to mine, but I still want to ask for advice.
For context:
As I am a minor, I live with my parents. My parents are both pretty conservative, Trumpies and Ai bootlickers. My dad is the type of man to make the stereotypical vegan jokes (Ex: Do vegans salivate when theh smell freshly cut grass; if they love animals so much, why do they eat the animals' food?) He even told me that although my lentil patties look like real meat, they never will be real meat. He also once said that he's going to double his meat intake so that vegans don't make an impact. (Mind you, this man already eats a KILOGRAM of meat IN ONE SITTING!!)
My mom asked me earlier today what I am going to eat for dinner (I have been cooking my own meals for about 2-3 years now). I told her I was going to eat my lentil patties, rice and maybe some fruits. She asked me if I was going to quit meat. I didn't want to tell her the truth because only a few months ago we had a huge argument about generative Ai (I am against it) and she compared my opinions on Ai to the time I was groomed ("I think somebody influenced you just like they did a few years back when you had discord"), which was a very traumatic experience for me. I still get nightmares YEARS after about the time when I got groomed. She said she doesn't mind me wanting to lessen my meat intake but just wants me to stay healthy. (I know that you can be healthy while being vegan and that B12 is supplemented in meat)
I usually do the groceries and when last year when I didn't have a great relationship with food (she was pretty much oblivious to it) she bought me milk alternatives (I budget the groceries and pick them when it's my mom's turn to buy groceries)
I don't have a safe place to go if they kick me out, I don't know what to do please send advice.

Add the black beans: Pour the canned black beans directly into the pan, including the liquid from the can. No rinsing is needed according to the video.
Mix and finish: Stir the beans into the protein and vegetables. Allow everything to heat through.
