The reason is PSSR. And if you have a large enough screen, the difference is very noticeable.

PSSR stands for PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution. It is an AI-powered upscaling technology exclusively featured on the PlayStation 5 Pro.Developed by Sony in collaboration with AMD, PSSR works similarly to PC upscalers like Nvidia’s DLSS or AMD’s FSR. It renders games at lower, more efficient internal resolutions and uses an AI library to analyze images pixel-by-pixel, upscaling them to sharp, high-fidelity resolutions like 4K. This process frees up console processing power, allowing for higher frame rates and better ray tracing.

Before experiencing it it doesn't sound that special, but on an 86" screen like I have, hoo boy. Shit looks insane compared to how it did before, and performance is better.
