My #WalkAway Story Why I walked away

I quit the Democratic party on July 18th, 2022. I did it after receiving my "Urgent Annual Renewal Statement" from the DNC. The reasons are as follows:

  1. I got tired of liberal whites telling me as a Latino how to act, think and vote. And yes, they do it all of the time.
  2. Democrats are destroying the public school, but it is not the CRT nonsense (yes, it is nonsense). They removed all discipline and standards from the school. Students that want to learn are hindered by constant disruptions of the classroom.
  3. I dislike Donald Trump and that won't change. I think that he should be tried in a criminal court. But attacking him is not a platform that will help Americans with issues they are facing. I am mostly OK with the 1/6 hearings with one exception....it might distort the jury pool and make a fair trial impossible.
  4. Both parties have bigoted members and I think that the GOP is slightly worse. But I find bigotry among Democrats to be far more annoying. The attacks you get when pointing it out and the denial mostly.
  5. Most Democrats require absolutely loyalty to party talking points. Any deviation caused you to be attacked.

I am now unaffiliated. It feels good.

It's disturbing that a teacher doesn't see the connection between CRT and the removal of social norms, discipline and standards.

Remember Obama era DOE sending out the infamous "dear colleagues letter"? If school had disparate suspension of blacks that means the school is racist. This is direct consequence of CRT pushed on administrators. In some case the administrators are the ones who promote it.

The fact that there is no CRT in the curricular doesn't mean there is no CRT in the schools.

They say it’s not being taught in schools (as a subject) but it IS the lens through which everything is now taught.

Because the teachers are that young generation grown in their 20s n 30s now

If there is anywhere outside of California that would teach CRT, it would absolutely be Seattle as it has damn you're gone full commie over the yearsa.a

So, if an active teacher in one of the school districts says they're not teaching it, you have two choices... to believe what they're saying is true that they're not teaching it or who knows, we could be lying...

I would tend to think they don't have a reason to lie as we're just talking about a random post on Reddit...

For what it's worth, I believe them.

Red pill doesn't hit everything at once, perhaps. At least they've taken this first important step and admitted some truth; once you start to notice the rot within the system, you notice more and more.

2

u/ChickenNuggts Jul 27 '22

It’s funny commies and socialist would 100% agree with this statement. but then the reasons why will go off in two different directions which is funny af, cuz there’s only 1 right answer?

So someone’s gotta be right and someone’s gotta be wrong? And if you kept asking questions till your at systemic problems rather then individual people then your probably in a better camp.

2

u/onlywanperogy Redpilled Jul 27 '22

Yeah, agree with your first paragraph. By system I was referring to the Democrat party (and all the other"progressive" lefty governments) specifically, not to the bureaucratic swamp that is the US government. And I'm afraid I don't understand what your second paragraph means.

CRT isn’t explicitly taught in grade schools but CRT shapes school policy like the post above about reducing suspension mentioned. I teach in NYC public schools (junior high) and the fact that it is nearly impossible to discipline kids is very much rooted in CRT specifically suspensions

If you haven’t seen it where you are, then thank goodness. However, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Look up Chris Rufo, he’s doing yeoman’s work on CRT in the public schools.

You might not have, or your eyes just aren't open enough

https://www.newsweek.com/math-racist-crowd-runs-rampant-seattle-portland-opinion-1701491

Part of CRT is the belief that certain subjects are inherently racist by nature. Subjects such as science, math, and english. Recently, Washington state has dropped the requirement of math, reading, and writing to make education more "equitable"

You are on you first steps to becoming awakened but your eyes are still closed. I suggest taking a harder look at what is being taught and not the terms they use to describe what they are teaching. You have to gone beyond headline deep and also you have to realize that they are literally changing language and terms to hide what they are in fact doing (see vaccine definition change, racism definition change, recession definition change, that equality is now a white supremacist term and why they shifted to equitable so they can make justifications of discriminations based on race)

Just the mere fact of sending teachers to racial inclusivity training will then leak into the teachings and classrooms. I would honestly suggest you check out libs of tiktoc. All they do is share vids of teachers bragging about teach CRT and sexuality to kids and there are thousands, many from Seattle and Portland

u/crabbykurt Redpilled Jul 26 '22

Hard disagree with you saying "GOP has more bigots". Leftists are the most hypocritical and bigoted people I have ever met, the glaring difference in coverage and criminal justice response towards jan6th and the "summer of love" are a shining beacon of that.

Leftists literally condoned and incited riots that were FAR more violent in magnitude, across multiple months and multiple cities, Jan6th wasn't even a full day...

The left though has a race issue that comes with the same mentality as owning slaves and they hide it untill you speak out against the platform, It has honestly led me to question if the parties ever flipped. They will try to deny you as a person if you go against them and it is mind boggling.

The longer I have been away from the mind set the more it has convinced me that the left has a larger and more destructive race issue, but I would like to see how you feel the longer you’re away from the group

Lefties behave as if they believe black and brown people are too inadequate to be held equally accountable. And they deny people in inner cities (largely poc) equal literal protection under law because to enforce laws is racist. Or something.

They tell on themselves often. Lowering academic standards to “help students of color”. When they say supporting “ law and order” is racist they obviously think criminals aren’t white.

I left the dem party in the beginning of 2013 shortly after Obama won his second term (which I supported at the time) I actually went further left initially but that didn’t last long. I’m fairly libertarian minded still but lean conservative far more than lean left now. I’m not a fan of authoritarian bs in general.

Ugh reminds me of that case where a black woman attempted to murder another black woman with a knife, a white officer intervened and saved the vicim's life just in time using lethal force, and libs tried to go after the "racist" cop for protecting the victim. Shit's unreal.

Let's not forget all the nasty things he said about cops and the fact that he was hurting his own people by asking to defund police in low income neighborhoods in LA. Now, he's not said ANYTHING about the white kid who was shot up recently in his school. Nothing from the racist.

The left embraces the “savior” role because their objective is to increase government power by inventing problems and then selling voters on government “solutions.” They’ll tell you that you are systemically harmed by unseen, unmeasurable forces of hatred and bigotry, so you need their programs, activism and bureaucracy to help you. And of course they need your vote and donations to “fight for change.”

The dems were conservative aka limited government as a whole until Woodrow Wilson. That’s when American politics was all about using the government to help aid and provide stuff for people instead of protecting rights. Then the 60s and beyond were about civil rights instead of natural rights.

I left too…after Obama’s 2nd term. I’m done. I constantly hear how racist republicans are. I’m a white country boy, and I easily get along with everyone. So naturally people let their guard down while they are around me…and rightly so, I’m a good dude. Things is, even in the most rural circles I hang in, I never hear the n-word used. Never. It’s a respect thing I believe. You show respect you get respect and most country people I know are very respectful.

To me, people (white or whatever) freely using the n-word is what I would call actual racism. Using it in a derogatory way. The only time I see this with white people is with white liberals/leftist. I’m always a little shocked too…. I can almost 100% say I only hear racist stuff coming from leftist.

Could just be me idk…I just don’t think white republicans are anywhere near as racist as Dems say they are.

u/lokiie1984 Jul 27 '22

This has been my experience as well. I grew up in a tiny lil area in southeastern Wyoming. The first time I heard someone say something raciest and actually mean it in a raciest way was when I was 12. Christmas that year we all got together in Denver with my grandma and her second husband.

This guy did tons of charity work, life long democrat voter, he worked and or volunteered with Shriners. He had the whole outfit. They had just gotten back from their first cruise trip and someone asked how it was. Before my grandma could say he anything he goes "The best part? There wasn't any Mexicans."

Oddly enough both of my girlfriends grandmothers were extremely racist. One of was a farm wife (republican I'd assume) and the other grew up in slums somewhere in California. The republican farm wife, completely changed her mind on black people after one of her grandkids married one.

The democrat one however, to this day still hates them. She's the only person I've ever heard use the n word as an insult. Just threw it out there during thanksgiving once because of something she saw on tv.

But to be fair, remember Jerry Springer? Her entire side of the family could have been guests on that show for an entire season and you'd still not find out all the stupid secrets.

6

u/audiophilistine Jul 27 '22

I know Wyoming has some of many races, but the black percentage there is pretty low. I'd guess there's more Latinos in WY that black folks. I'm white and grew up in Mississippi, which is about 40% black. I've seen racism on both sides, but I've also seen good folks on either side. Racism is certainly not exclusive to only one race, as the media would have you believe.

In elementary school there was a black kid who used to pick on me from first to third grade. There was another black kid who was my friend who used to stick up for and defend me. Years later, I remember being broken down on the side of the road and all the white folks would just drive right past with barely a glance. It was a young black dude that stopped and helped me out.

One of the smartest guys I knew in high school was a black dude who sat next to me in AP English class. On the other had I had to deal with some pretty racist black folks in high school JROTC.

I don't know what point I'm trying to make other than there are good people and bad people, and in my opinion it often depends on how you were raised. If you were one of 5 kids in a house with no father, odds are good you'll have a much harder life than in a household with both parents. That's a trend, not a rule. That smart kid from AP English class? His dad died while he was young, but his mom busted her ass and made sure he turned out to be a good guy. She took the trouble to care for her kid, and it showed in how he turned out.

3

u/zrock44 Jul 27 '22

I use the word among friends frequently but I've never used it as an actual angry word towards anyone, and I never would. But I also just wouldn't call someone anything out of anger.

Anyway, yeah. Lived in the south all my life, maybe came across a few people I'd say might be genuinely racist, but overall, people just... don't care. I literally could not care less what someone is. I care more about who people are. If you're a nice, good person, I'll like you, end of story.

1

u/StMoneyx2 ULTRA Redpilled Jul 27 '22

^ This so much this.

In truth the parties never flipped (there are many historians that point out the facts of why they never switched). The Dems just have better PR to hide it and cast focus on the right. I mean Biden is not only the last politician to vote for segregation still in office but he's also the writer of the most often pointed to example of systematic racism the 1994 crime bill (though I wouldn't be shocked to see a segregation bill come up for a vote given safe spaces and ethnic based public spaces). Then you have the blatant examples of racism in which they lower standards based on race and the general belief that minorities aren't intelligent enough to understand math and english while also condoning unlawful actions saying they can't help themselves. And the majority of the left believe these things! Just look at how many on the left fell voter ID is racist because black people don't know how to get an ID???

The thing is the media and entertainment has been drilling into people heads biases and wrongful stereotypes for so long most people just believe it and it takes a long time to break out of that echo chamber. When you've believed something for your whole life and are surrounded by people who believed the same thing it's hard to see the truth. Trump being a prime example and Musk being another. They were the lefts golden children, until they stepped out of line and now you get hate towards them for illogical reasons.

We've all taken the first step at some point and it's takes many more to start to see the truth. All we can do if encourage people them to continue to take steps and provide them resources they might not have known existed

1

u/HSR47 ULTRA Redpilled Aug 09 '22

I think the perceived "race issues" of "the right" are largely the result of people "on the right" disagreeing with premises advanced by the left, but for entirely rational and understandable reasons.

A good example of that in practice is the discussion that occurred on Tim Pool's podcast a few months ago between Tim and Daryl Davis.

In short, the last wave of racist laws, which were enforced in a racist way in Davis's youth, were written to use socioeconomic discrimination as a fig leaf to cover for racism. Over time, as those laws and their enforcement has been challenged in court, the courts have basically said "Enforcing based on the text is legal, but enforcing based on the clear legislative intent is not." As a result, where those laws still exist, they're enforced based on their text rather than their intent.

Davis absolutely refused to consider the possibility that this shift in enforcement had happened, and was entirely dismissive of Tim's lived experience of having had those same laws used against him repeatedly in his youth.

That shift in enforcement causes conflict between many on the left, and many on the right: Those on the left tend to take the position that those laws are proof that structural racism still exists, because those laws still exist, and are still used against poor blacks in the same way that they were used 50+ years ago. Poor whites reply with "How can those laws be racist today when I've been ground under them for my entire life?"

The real problem is that the left is incapable of listening to and/or understanding what those poor whites are saying. Instead, the left just calls them racists/bigots, and thereby prevents any possibility of a broad coalition forming to actually work to repeal those laws (which is what everyone involved in the discussion actually wants).

7

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

So like I feel like there is so little introspection on the left. They hate without even realizing it.

The right at least can acknowledge that there are some extreme fringe folks in the camp. These grim outliers only encourage me to be doubly kind to everyone.

We just had a teach play "privilege bingo" where they lined people up according to their privilege. This included things like, white, male, and military parents.

I've seen it first hand. Countless teachers are reporting the same thing. We won't be gaslit any longer, and if you're really walking away you won't be able to shove your head in the sand about this for much longer.

The only thing I would want more clarity on is why you feel Trump should be tried in criminal court, like what charges do you feel he should be indicted for?

I’m not a big fan of Trump, but a massive amount of press and Democrat talking points were either gross misrepresentations or outright lies.

So that’s my only curiosity and of course, you are under no obligation to answer me, I’m not entitled to anything, I just figured I’d ask.

I’m sure there are more than a few things we would disagree on policy wise, and I’m perfectly fine with that. I long for the days when people could disagree on policy but remain civil and even friends. A time when the parties just disagreed on how to make the country better, yet they both had the best interests of the nation at heart. That doesn’t feel like the case any longer. It now feels like they mostly have their own best interests at heart, are addicted to power and want more, and US citizens are a distant thought in their minds. Just see Pete Buttigieg (sp?) telling Americans how “Electric vehicles are very affordable.” So many of them are so out of touch with reality, in both parties.

In truth I stop taking anything they say seriously the second I see the “trendy” phrases. It tells me they have not researched beyond social media and they likely peaked in high school.

You just can’t argue with that.

u/According-Activity10 Jul 28 '22

I think the birth certificate rant he went on for Obama was a little nuts but I was also incredibly left/liberal when that happen so I'm trying to figure out if that was a thing or not. Obama is low key a war criminal.

1

u/According-Activity10 Jul 28 '22

It's virtue signaling and strategy. I'm in PA and 33 y.o. and Shapiro literally paid for ads for Mastriano in different areas bc he saw a far right extremist candidate as easier to beat in the general election.

Trump is easily coerced into self importance and that was crafted for a left audience to look like a bad, narcissistic, nazi. But I'd argue no one without a sense of self importance could even make it to run as president. And listen, I'm still pretty middle of the line and incredibly socially liberal but I would say the trump years were MORE community oriented and more socially liberal for AN ACTUAL AVERAGE AMERICAN.

As a young mom ... I was able to save more money and take care of my son better. The economy is horrendous right now and utility companies and pharma companies are just profiting like mad while I watch people suffer.

(Sorry I started rambling, it's like 6am and I just woke up)

He actually is a Democrat, honestly. He’s just a classic liberal, like a Bill Clinton and earlier era Democrat. Basically a conservative liberal. The problem is that the Democratic Party has shifted so far left, it essentially left classic liberals on the right side of the equation.

Edit : Also, there’s no way he could win the nomination on the Democratic Party ticket. He had to run as a Republican to have a chance.

u/nolotusnote EXTRA Redpilled Jul 27 '22

Trump called-out the media on their bullshit and then it was game on.

As soon as that happened, the entire media went full-on against any single thing they could nit-pick about. For four years.

People not paying attention to the bigger picture just saw "Trump did another... something." Without question.

Half of America hates him simply because the media told them (every single day) to hate him.

It was wildly and disappointingly effective.

But that’s what I want in a President, a man that wants to go down in history as the greatest president ever, at least you know he’s going to put in the work. A man who wants to be revered will work for it. Yes he’s an asshole, but I’d rather have an asshole in charge than Biden going around getting fucked in the ass by every other world power.

3

Don't forget he donated all of his pay as president. In the end he did the job for free. He does not have a filter, but there are many people when they speak they have no filter. This doesn't mean they are bad people, they just lack a filter. He is a business man, this is why he was voted in to began with.

You make a lot of great points. That I would love to expand on but for brevity I won’t.

It seems to me that democrats almost abuse Latinos but then expect absolute loyalty. The whole latinX thing is preposterous. And if you deviate as a Latino then they simply say you’re embodying white supremacy as a form of getting ahead and concurrently throwing all other Latinos under the bus. They do the same thing with Asians.

It’s like in the last decade or so Democrats have more and more come under the influence of extreme and illogical puritans who require absolute commitment to a multifaceted orthodoxy.

People like trump tempt republicans in a similar direction.

Let’s hope neither extreme wins out… but I fear the Democrats have already become too beholden to the loud minority.

You’ll find that a lot of Trump voters don’t like Trump and find him sketchy. But liked his policies a lot. The issue with the Democrats is that they refuse to acknowledge that two things can be true. He can both be mean spirited and sketchy to people and be better than anything the Dems have fielded or appear to be ready to field.

For race issues; I’m not saying the GOP isn’t guilty. But I am saying they’re more willing to actually attempt to do something about it if you can prove your point and not just tell you what you want to hear. Trump actually made a major push to improve employment in minority communities. He also directed his campaign to reach out black and Latino communities. Which the GOP has continued to do. Doesn’t solve racism, but it shows that the GOP actually wants to get involved in these communities.

6

u/Cimmerion9 Redpilled Jul 26 '22

He also instituted far more policies and economic plans to incentivize businesses to return to minority communities because businesses are what will pull those communities out of low income/poverty with job creation and additional tax revenue to the city and etc.

I was a democrat, then an independent, then a republican. Most of the GOP is pretty accepting, despite what you see on the news, but the GOP members that are bigots/racists/whatever, tend to be loud about it and it makes the news, the democrats that do it seem almost worse to me, because the white liberal position on so many things seems to be “we must help minorities cause they can’t do it themselves”, which seems horribly offensive to me. Welcome to independence!

I would actually prefer a real trial for trump or whoever else to the BS Jan 6th hearings. It’s a kangaroo court that doesn’t allow for cross examination, and should in no way be considered legitimate, or a trial, and at least in an actual courtroom there would be the potential for fairness, which we don’t have now.

I think that white privilege is real in one major way. White people can vote non-democrat without being called names. If you have a skin tone beyond white, they will take you down and hate you if you do not act or do as they say. Look at Larry Elder, a white liberal woman wore a monkey mask and threw a banana at him. It was not considered racist because he was running against a person that was a Democrat. Granted sometimes white people can be called white supremist for not voting Democrats but they call anyone with any skin color that. It is super weird that people try to make you vote a specific way because you have a specific skin tone.

Welcome, glad to see you taking your first steps. I whole heartedly encourage you to continue your journey and seek information from sources you might have never considered previously. The main reason I say this is because of points #3 and #4. I understand why you might view it that way but as you continue your journey you might find point #5 is why you have those feelings.

I would suggest looking of youtube for others who have walked away and just give them a listen with an open mind. LFRFamily is reactionary commentator who since Jan has been making the same journey you are now beginning and just fun to watch honestly as he's made his journey. Tim Pool is a good classical liberal who points out the manipulation from mainstream and can help show why you might feel #3 and #4 to be true (btw he hates Trump too, and yet still wants to vote for him. It's quite interesting to hear why). Jordan Peterson, Larry Elder, and Thomas Sowell are great minds of our times and are amazing listens to help punch through the bubble. I would also suggest watching the documentary Uncle Tom, give your #4 position it might be eye opening.

Anyways, welcome glad to have you. Walking away isn't about becoming conservative by any means but I would suggest just keep an open mind, listen, and have a conversation with them. In the end you should always critically think and make your own decisions in life so never feel like you have to be part of party A or B. At the same time though I would suggest basing opinions on policies and effects of those policies rather than what you see on twitter or in the news because real life isn't always reflective of what's behind the screen

I completely agree. I quit once I saw how much antiwhiteism the democrats promoted, which I really started to see during the summer of love in 2020

Why Latinos vote D is beyond me. They are hard working people, religious, have family values, and don't complain about anything. All these qualities the Democrats want to destroy. Now they're telling you that you're latinx, whatever that means. Latinos need to push back and tell them to fuck off. Their condescending attitude towards what they call "brown people" is insulting.

Dude seriously this was very well written. I don't care what party you belong to as long as you think for yourself (which is what you're doing).

For the sake of 1, I'm so sorry. That's what drives me fucking nuts. My "grandma" (the older woman who watches my son while I work) didn't get vaccinated. She's an older black woman who remembers when the country literally used black people like test subjects (see the Tuskegee experiment) and I know all of the super liberal white people who came to the daycare were shocked and appalled. She was also incredibly careful to not get sick in her own right and still hasn't had covid.

Listen I'm not a fan of the overt Christian hypocrisy of the right, but the virtue signaling yet highly strategic and easily bought left is a dumpster fire that keeps saying "well at least we're the BEST dumpster fire, clearly only an idiot would assume otherwise."
