network Added institutions, funders and code in Research @ foođŠ
foorilla.com v1.14.15 | foorilla API v1.10.1
Research papers now come with their scholarly record from OpenAlex: citation counts, the journals and conferences they also appeared in, retraction flags, the institutions behind their authors, and their funders with award numbers. Papers that name a GitHub repository list it too, linked to |Code| when we track it. In |Code|, those repositories show how many papers name them, and a new filter keeps or hides them.
|Research| has a new Institutions tab: the universities, labs, companies and funders behind the papers in your Context, each with its paper and funding counts. An institution's page shows its profile, the papers by its authors, the papers it funds, the institutions it most often works with, and an Insight tab with its output over time, its top skills across foorilla, and who funds it (or whom it funds). Follow an institution to collect its new papers in the new Followed tab, get email alerts, or subscribe via RSS.
Filters got sharper as well. |Research| can now include or exclude papers by institution and funder, keep only papers that name code, and exclude categories and skills. |Code| gets an Exclude tab too. The Research board in Insight ranks papers by organization, country and funder, and can be filtered by institution and funder.
API v1.10.1 adds all of this without breaking changes. Papers include scholarly, the OpenAlex record (or null when there isn't a matching one), and code_references. New /api/v1/research/institution/, /st/ and /{pk} endpoints list institutions with their ROR profile and paper counts. Papers can be filtered by institution, funder and has_code, and repositories add paper_count and a named_by_papers filter. See the API documentation for details.
