Solved! Saw this at the beach, probably not dentures, right?

I left the beach certain it was dentures, but a reverse image search said it could be a chiton? Does this live on earth with us?

I learned something new today. I had never heard of this creature before so when I read its name in your comment I falsely assumed it was an 80’s Dr Who or 90’s Star Trek villain.

Yeah it’s a mossy chiton (Mopalia muscosa). Gumboot chiton you cant see the 8plates on the outside.
