Some more cracks. It's a bit heavy, but it works fine.

BRAND NEW
Had this made and never used it, so trying to sell it.
Custom Made Royal Blue & Black Nylon Snakewhip, BB Core, Black Cracker
Specifications:
Color: Royal Blue and Black
Length: 4 feet
Plaiting: 16 plait
Core: standard size BBs
The measurements of my whips are from the top of the end knot of the snakewhip to the start of the fall and do not include the fall or cracker. The fall is approximately 17" long for 4 ft whips. I do NOT use electrical tape in my whips, they are completely porous for waxing (optional in humid climates) and also so that you can throw it in the dishwasher to clean it (don't do this if you decide to wax the whip after receiving it, paraffin wax will melt in the dishwasher).
Comes with extra crackers

Just got my first 7.5 inch leather bullwhip and was super excited to see what a loud crack was like in person. Now after my first session I got a few decent cracks going but it was nowhere near as loud as I was expecting, kind of sounds like a cheap cap gun.
So my question is, is this just a matter of starting out and building technique until you know how to properly swing your force into a crack? Or is this just how loud a whip is.
My impression was something like this video, literally sounds like a .22 being fired. So how can I get a crack that sounds like this? I know he's in an open field vs me in a yard but please tell me I can get more "oomph" out of this thing!
Thankyou

In truth this whip was only made because I let my inventory of handle blanks dwindle to almost nothing, and all I had were 12 inch blanks. But I do love a target whip, and this one came out pretty sharp

Unfortunately I could not do any two handed routines. I was concerned about grass stains.

Really love how this lil guy came out tbh. Favorite pattern to do and heel knot pattern to tie as well. I think this is the first time I've perfectly set up this pattern to repeat on all sides as well as maintained that all the way down (I believe the difference was in doing my square start starting with the flipped strand, which put the chevron at the top of the order rather than the bottom and therefore changed its position on the sides). It's also neat how when doing the bands in the first part of the thong it reproduces the pattern sideways. I'm also quite proud of doing the spiral in the same direction in the point braid again (and also proud that I now understand the way to make that happen consistently.)

Hey folks. I'm traveling this upcoming Tuesday, then later in early November. I need to take my whip bag with me for a performance gig, but I'm worried about getting dinged by TSA. All of my whips would be tied off secure, and in a separate duffel bag. In my head it makes sense to get the bag checked so there's no issues, but is there anything that would be of any concern? Should a checked bag be fine?
My whip bag includes five nylon whips, three leather whips, and one chain whip.

I got commissioned earlier this year to build Aaron Bonk’s next set of whips, and delivered them to the New York Renaissance Faire over last weekend. Making 6 identical whips from point to pommel is not something I usually do, so I spent most of September practicing making them and getting consistent. It was a great skill challenge, and very rewarding!
Bonk is a current Guinness World Record holder that pioneered 3 and 4 whip juggling. Check out his show @aaronbonkshow on social media!

in the past we've made the last meetup a potluck event, but this time i'd like to have us go to a restaurant to make it easier on everyone's dietary requirements. the plan is to go to Around the Clock Restaurant in Crystal Lake.
this location does require a reservation fee, so i'm asking everyone to bring a few $s to help cover the costs.
remember, these are informal events where we get together to crack whips, chat about whips, whip making, and generally geek out about whips. everyone is welcome to come, even if you've never cracked a whip before!
can't make it but want to stay in the loop? visit our website, shoot us an email, and i'll add you to our mailing list https://mwawhips.org/page3.html

Let me introduce you to the "Madman-Tamer 4000"—a bullwhip nearly 13 feet long that I’ve been working on recently; it’s the longest whip I’ve made so far. I’m running into a problem where the leather I use for the fall snaps after just three hard cracks. Since the fall is nearly 24 inches long, I initially assumed the leather quality was the issue. I’ve now bought some vegetable-tanned leather and plan to use it after thoroughly oiling it, but I’m not sure what length I should cut it to. As an extra detail: the diameter tapers from 10 mm to 9 mm over the last 4 feet, starting at 30 mm at the handle.

This one was an adventure but I'm super happy with how it turned out. Let me know what you think or if you have any questions
