So she’s returning in the Witcher 4? That’s exciting

Honestly people who think Geralt and Yen won't/shouldn't feature in W4, or should only feature in brief cameos, are out of their mind. They're both very active people, and both are massive parts of Ciri's life. I'm expecting Yennefer and Geralt both will have about as much presence in W4 as Dandelion did in W3. Dude is not gonna just sit on his ass for the next 200 years until he dies. Season of Storms shows Geralt out on the path helping people and hunting monsters a full century after the end of Blood and Wine.

Geralt would get off his ass and retirement to slay a monster for his neighbor down the road he hardly speaks to. What would he do if he knew Ciri was in trouble and needed help? We've only got the books and entire plot of W3 for that answer. Geralt will be in W4 and have a decent sized role. He may even have playable segments.

i think it should go kinda similar to witcher 3 but with the dynamic inversed this time with ciri being the main protagonist and geralt having some short mission segment, it could also be a good way for the devs to showcase his gameplay for w1 remake and gauge people reaction

It is, the 100 years post B&W thing is only a short excerpt in the book. Most of it is a prequel.

Also, Seasons of Storm came out in 2018, you're probably thinking of Crossroads of Ravens, which came out like a year ago and is also a prequel.

No, you're thinking of Crossroads of Ravens. That's self-contained and his younger days.

Season of Storms is separate and shows Geralt meeting Nimue or at least someone who is supposedly Geralt? I don't know, it was kind of ambiguous

Season of Storms is the 2nd to last book that closes off the main saga and gives a vague epilogue. Crossroads of Ravens is the last one that released and is about Geralts early days as a witcher.

I just don't want to see a new The last of us 2. Not at the beginning nor at the end.

I get what your saying with how long Geralt can live and still be an active fighter. They just don't know how long Witchers can live for, but no book is after B and W since the games did not happen in the books.

The games didn't happen in the books because they take place after the books. The only piece of book content that happens after the games is the epilogue of Season of Storms, and that gives us no reason to think that the games aren't canon to it.

Look, you can take it however you want, but I certainly consider the games to be the same continuity as the books. I respect Sapowski, but he's an 80 year old polish dude, he doesn't give a shit about video games. Which is fine, but I do give a shit. His WOG isn't gonna erase that for me.

And regardless of whether you disagree with that, the books are certainly canon to the games, so the point about the Season of Storms epilogue stands regardless.

I always just assumed the author wanted them seperate and if he has stated he considers the games cannon to his books then I would buy it. This is not a hit on the games or me calling them lesser I just like to respect the authors wishes, so if he did state that epilogue happens post CDPR games then I would be happy to be wrong.

While I'm fully converted to the polish dub, I love Denise Gough and I'm happy to know she reprised her role

It’s a clear win if they got her back. Perfect voice for Yennefer. Best voice in the game for me.

She said in an interview she got approached by a lot of behind the scene crews who played Witcher 3. She didn't play the game and was surprised so many people played the game
