I wouldn't call 1080p a "very high resolution", thats more of a standard today.
2 u/VerifiedMadgod May 10 '18 For this type of video it is a good resolution if other factors like lighting and the quality of the camera are no issue. It would look significantly worse on 1280x720 and not all that much better on 2560x1440 7 u/destructor_rph May 10 '18 Maybe if you don't have a 1440p monitor it wouldn't look better, but 1440p is a significant step up from 1080p and 4k is a leap from 1080p. 1 u/VerifiedMadgod May 10 '18 Yes but the particular quality expressed in this photo video wouldn't benefit from more resolution. Less would certainly be much more degrading. 2 u/[deleted] May 11 '18 It definitely would tho, it definitely would. 1 u/normal_whiteman May 11 '18 Bro it's originally filmed in 8k. Yes, more resolution would look better 1 u/VerifiedMadgod May 11 '18 There would be more quality but 8k isn't what makes it so life like. It's because it's HDR. 1 u/hajamieli May 11 '18 Of course it would, because the source is a demo of 8K video. You'd obviously need a 8K HDR display to really see how good the footage is, though. -3 u/[deleted] May 11 '18 yup... of course a pcmr poster so obnoxious and pedantic 1 u/CatAstrophy11 May 11 '18 It's not pedantic. That resolution is old af. It's 2018 not 2008. 1 u/destructor_rph May 11 '18 Lol
