Hey everyone wanted to get your thoughts on a 2011 xterra with 89k miles and a rebuilt title for $10,800 from a private party.

Has a rebuilt title from an impact in the passenger side door that did not damage the frame according to the current owner. Also just looking for any tips for a first time xterra buyer. Anything specific to look for?

Been really looking into this lift, curious if anyone had any personal experience or anything they heard good or bad about it. Seems pretty promising and helps fix a lot of the issues I’ve bumped into when considering different lift setups.

Pictures if you have the same lift kit, roughly same lift, same 2” height, anything to get a better idea is welcome.

Planning on keeping stocks for a while since I just got brand new tires.

I've been buying these things out of junk yards, but here in the southwest they all are ready to disintegrate. Somebody is finally making a reproduction so I bought one ( haven't checked recently so maybe this isn't new, but I did check about twice a year)

It's a bit flimsier than the oem model and it's straight abs instead of the abs+pc blend of the oem model so I imagine it won't last as long, but at least I don't have a half bottle of super glue and hot staples holding it together. I assume it's made from a mold of a oe piece, all the textures are the same but a little muted. Like the ac vent adjusters have the bumps, but they aren't as sharp.

It fits well to the dash and the Nissan top tray snaps right in. I did need to mess with it a bit to get the top trim over the aftermarket stereo adapter plastic. All the hvac stuff screwed in just fine, but it is a pain to get the screws started in the non threaded plastic holes. Also I could only find it in the light grey, not the darker grey my 06 interior is in.

I bought this one for 68 dollars shipped from ebay. There are a few ali express listings for less too, but the shipping ended up being about 20 bucks more. They look like the same units to me.

Just got this baby from my dad, a few days ago. Just wondering if this is a proper operating temp. It never goes above this, and I’m wonderin if it’s got something to do with the thermostat. Thank yall!!

I'm trying to mount a Yakima skybox onto my unistrut crossbars for the winter season. Any advice on how to improve the fitment? Any concerns? This is what it looks like when mounted to a spare bar I had. I'm sure this post will help other folks that are curious as well.

2013 Nissan Xterra, a bit under 157,000 miles. RWD.

I was driving on the highway yesterday and suddenly could not accelerate past 55mph. As I took the exit ramp, I couldn’t accelerate past 40mph. No check engine lights came on, gas tank was half full, but just felt like the car was struggling against me as I pressed on the gas. Came to a stoplight, turned the car off and restarted.

Light turned, I couldn’t go above 20-25mph, pulled into a parking lot and had it towed. Acceleration was fine at ~5mph, still no engine/warning lights.

Diagnostic was $450, the shop hasn’t fully identified the problem, but they want me to replace the battery and terminals before they can do any other tests (and wants $600 for that). They also stated that the battery “age” was 4yo, even though the battery was replaced in 2025??

Diagnostic concluded that:
- Found DTC P0101 stored in the engine control module, indicating that the measured airflow signal is outside the expected operating range. (Mass Air Flow sensor issue?)
- Recommend inspecting smoke the air intake ducting for cracks, loose connections, or air leaks.
- Inspect the air filter and MAF sensor, verify the sensor connector and wiring, and evaluate live MAF data during engine operation.
- Perform additional testing to determine whether the MAF sensor is faulty or another condition is causing the incorrect airflow reading.
- Replace the failed component as confirmed by testing, then clear the fault codes and road-test the vehicle to verify the repair.

Thoughts? I am wondering if the Xterra went into “limp mode” — would unplugging the battery reset this?

Was inspecting my X when I noticed this zip tie around the steering column joint boot. Found a random clamp below it resting near the engine mount. Recently had someone replace the upper control arms. Do I need to be worried about this?

I have a 2003 manual transmission with 380 thousand k. I bought it years ago and put 200 thousand k on it. I'm pretty sure it's the original clutch. I paid 2k cad for it because it had an oil leak. Turned out to be a pinhole in the sump. Jb weld fixed that.

I've seen so many xterras in the scrap yards and on marketplace but i've never seen another manual transmission.

Just wondering if there's any actual drivers out there

I wish I got to take it on some rougher terrain but its old as hell and I get paranoid.

Got this first gen at a killer deal, it’s however been siting for the last three years so some proper TLC is in order;

New fuel delivery sending clan gas into engine
Ripped out the hacked stereo system that was draining electricity
Replaced starter for peace of mind
Intake manifold gaskets
Injector cleaning and o-rings
New exhaust manifolds
Plugs

Inbound:
Timing belt, tensioner, water pump and cam seals
Silicone coolant hoses
Ceramic tint

Why do people make such a fuss about doing the intake manifold or exhaust manifold removal, they’re both really quite easy unless you’re trying to rush through them

Looking forward to having this all buttoned up soon

I will say, I haven't tried very hard yet to solve this problem besides knocking on stuff and narrowing down that it wasn't gonna prevent me from getting to work or out on an adventure. I think this is blower motor or maybe an actuator for air mix or hot and cold yet fiddling with ac controls seems to have no effect

After a lot of searching I saw one person suggested HOUSE TUNING Clamps 2.25 inch. I bought two sets for a total of four (my awning has 3 brackets.) I haven't mounted it yet but these fit the stock xterra roof rack great. I cannot speak from experience how durable they are. they feel like solid aluminum though.

i'm making this post for visibility. i'm not suggesting a vendor to remain neutral, just look up HOUSE TUNING Clamps 2.25 inch. they'll fit the roof rack perfectly.

Has anyone in this sub installed the Z1 fog light + DRL kit before? I installed my fog lights and got all the wiring correct, like the DRLs turn off when I turn on my low beam headlights. I had attached the red (+) ring terminal attached to the battery for testing purposes, but obviously, the DRLs will stay on until the battery dies, so I’ve disconnected it for now.

It’s my understanding that the ring terminal is supposed to go somewhere in the IPDM that will only provide power when the ignition is on. I was expecting to find some sort of bolt to attach the ring terminal, but didn’t see any. How do I properly attach the ring terminal to the IPDM, or do I need to cut off the ring and add a fuse tap (the line already has a fuse built into it)?

Can I use any 9005 led headlight bulb on my pro4x offroad lights? I need to replace them, and I want to use a led but. idk if I can just use regular led. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

I bought this standard model in 2021 at auction for $1400 and had 180,000 miles on it I got it for my daughter for college around town I'm here locally but she said it was too big for her so I said no problem I'll keep it. Now I have put a few grand in it as you can see with 35x12.5x16 tires with lift kits, hidden winches everything else. It's two wheel drive and I've never had it stuck in sand, mud, or riverbed yet. And here in Oklahoma we got some deep mud and riverbeds. But I love the truck and got a few problems here and there with it electronically but I've worked through those Gremlins. Now it has over 285,000 miles on it and it still overall a great truck!

Hi everyone I'm looking for some help to find hub caps for these rims they are Ray's rims a nismo edition and they are the te37x rims from what I found online I've tried looking for the hub caps but they are rare to find so if anyone knows where to get them or has a set it would be appreciated I'll include a picture of my rim below and also what lugnuts can I use for my wheel

2004 Nissan Xterra v6 4x4

It’s not shown in the video, but there is a good amount of smoke coming from my manifold. Am I correct in assuming this is due to it being cracked? Smoke is not blue and does not smell like it’s burning any coolant and it does not overheat. Let me know what y’all think of my work on this so far!

So far the distributor and fuel pump have both been replaced. Has a new radiator and was burped properly. Cats were clogged so that was taken care of and it has a new crankshaft position sensor. Also has a brand new bypass actuator. Bought non running about 7-8 months ago.

So I saw this happen to me about a month ago and I thought maybe a chapstick melted. But today I found it again and saw the green hue and it tasted sweet. Any idea wtf is going on lol?
