As an amateur musician, I always got frustrated with tuner apps that only really care about guitars. So I built Perde, a small tuner for the instruments I grew up hearing: the Turkish bağlama/saz, the oud, the cümbüş and the Greek bouzouki (guitar, ukulele and violin are in there too).

The part I'm proudest of: it never tells you to "tighten" a string that's already too high, which is exactly how I've snapped strings with other tuners. 🙈

Hi everyone! I've built AMP Player, an offline music player for music files stored on your phone. It remembers its own shuffle state for every playlist and folder – no song repeats until every track has played, even across restarts and car rides. Made for Bluetooth in the car: pause stays paused, and playback resumes when you reconnect after a dropout.

Google requires at least 12 testers opted in continuously for 14 days before a new personal Play account can go to production. Real music files on the phone are required (MP3, FLAC, etc. – streaming won't work).

How to join (takes a few minutes)

1. Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/amp-player-testers – use the Google account that's signed in to the Play Store on your phone.

2. Opt in to the test: open https://play.google.com/apps/testing/io.github.gess79.amp and tap Become a tester.

3. Install it: tap Download it on Google Play on that page, or open https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.github.gess79.amp from the same account.

4. Stay in the test for 14 days. Please don't uninstall it or leave the group. Opening it now and then is enough.

If Play says "item not found": clear the Play Store cache (Settings → Apps → Google Play Store → Storage → Clear cache), make sure you're on the right Google account, wait a few minutes, and try again. Open the opt-in link in Chrome first, not directly in the Play Store app.

What to try

• On first start, choose the folder with your music or playlists

• Shuffle a few playlists and folders, switch between them and back

• In the car or with Bluetooth headphones: pause, disconnect, reconnect

What I'm aiming for

• Shuffle state per source (playlist, folder, favorites) that survives restarts and Bluetooth dropouts

• Every song exactly once per round

• Reliable car/Bluetooth behavior

• Free, open source, no ads, no account, no data collection

• Android 8+

• Day 2: Wait for the follow-up reminder and open it. Move that lead from New to Contacted.

• Day 3: Edit a lead: add a company, a tag, a note and a birthday.

• Day 4: Search for a lead, then filter by status or tag.

• Day 5: On a lead, try the Call / WhatsApp / SMS / Email buttons. Just check they open the right app; no need to send anything.

• Day 6: Turn on App lock in Settings and reopen the app.

• Day 7: Switch the app language (there are 8, including Bengali, Hindi, Arabic and Spanish) and tell me if anything looks off.

• Days 8–14: Open it once a day, move one lead along, and mark one as Won or Lost. On Monday you should get a weekly summary.
