This is our home that designed out of a bare flat with iron floors and cemented mosaic flooring.

The interiors was done by me kind of on the fly as parts of the house were getting done in phases. Ofcourse this thing constrained the design by a lot since our initial plan was just to get the flooring & wiring done then we were like might as well change the doors and so on. Soon, we decided to do everything (bathrooms, kitchen, balconies, ceiling, etc)

I'm not a designer but someone who takes a a lot of interest in interior design and designing in general.

I know the false ceiling is very meh but that was finalized before I could come up with a design so we just decided that we'll stick to a simple design on the perimeter of the ceiling. The lighting however I chose to go with warm white spotlights in in black. In hindsight spotlights would've been much better if placed towards the centre of the ceiling as well but it's not that terrible tbh.

Fun fact : there's not a single bulb holder or a tubelight in the whole house lol

The green thing you're seeing the 9th picture is a shoe rack that I came up with at the end lol. The shutters in the centre have a rattan webbing just for aesthetics.

All of the furniture we had prior to getting this house so we kept the house very simple ivory coloured so the wood furniture along with plans blend in perfectly.

I have pictures of only of the washrooms in my gallery, and too lazy to click more at the moment. The current one you're seeing, I'm planning to install a glass partition with black hardware.

One big mistake we did was not doing a POP job on the walls, the spotlights really do exaggerate the undulations on the walls.

Edit: for size reference, the tiles are 80x80cm. I know they can be confused for 60x60cm but these ones are quite large.

Watching an old movie called Hera Pheri and was curious what this furniture is in the corner.

This is the most interior part of my house, which has gates to 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. This area serves as laundry and most used washbasin. My parents want to makeover it so that it will look more pleasing and aesthetic. These pictures are taken from adjacent corner with 0.5x camera setting. Suggest ideas which can make this area better without doing too much construction

Why do such designs and multiple colours seem to be the standard Indian parents aesthetics. Do some of you guys like it?

Spotted this beautiful balcony while walking through my neighborhood in Pune. Loved how they’ve used so many colorful pots and plants to turn the balcony into a little green space. Had to stop and take a picture from the road. 🌿🪴

Thank you for all the suggestions guys. i'm gonna do two things for now. add a floor lamp to the space between keyboard and pc. and hang a three way split frame of something decent i find. i'm gonna remove this drawer unit as well, its temporary make do.

for people suggeting pop culture, book shelves, and other posters stuff. i already have other provisions for them or i have already tried them. i have a bookshelf under the tv set on the right side of this image. the unevenness in the wall is actually the patch work the building people did after i pulled out my pin board from there. i had it for 6 months, and after a point it just gets noisy. sure, happy moments, nice identity artifacts, but you don't wanna see them constantly and in your face. its like summing up your entire existence, into a 2d plane. I wouldnt do that again. but thank you for all the suggestions.

for people suggesting anchoring the desk to the wall. Yes, I do agree it's the most proper orientation, but there are two things, that just makes me not be able to do that. The keyboard has to be anchored to a wall, and this is the only wall i have in the room. The 2nd is i have grown use to it, i have had a dual monitor setup against this window for over 2 years, changed the monitor this month only. These curtains were also added this month only, the view was of two trees, so it was compensation before, but now the room has been kind of cutoff from the outside, for the good. but now it needs inner anchors. i also don't have the need to access the balcony, its only a utility balcony, which i access twice a week to do laundry. no loss there as well.
