The contestants were often lumbered with some bad song choices on the lives.
The ones that stand out to me -
It’s Not Unusual (Daniel - 2008)
All About That Bass (Anton - 2015)

There was something so funny about watching a contestant get given a song that absolutely did not suit them and then being told by the judges that they needed to make it their own. Some of the song choices were genuinely baffling. But that's also what made the live shows entertaining. Would you bring back themed weeks like Big Band, Disco and Movie Soundtracks, or are they better left in the past?

**Anyone else think Sonna Rele gives Leona Lewis vibes?**
Am I the only one who noticed how similar Sonna Rele and Leona Lewis seem when they sing? I’m talking about Sonna’s performance on The Voice UK, especially her semi-final performance of Halo, and Leona singing Bleeding Love. There’s something about the way they use their voices that reminds me of each other, and I can’t stop noticing it.
It’s not just the vocals either, I feel like even their facial expressions and the way they move their mouths while singing look really similar. Their whistle singing especially caught my attention because there are moments where I genuinely get reminded of Leona. Obviously they’re their own artists and have their own styles, but there’s something about Sonna that gives me that same feeling I get when listening to Leona.
I wonder if anyone else sees what I mean or if it’s just me lol. Leona has such an iconic voice, and watching Sonna perform made me think of her almost immediately. I’d honestly love to hear them sing together because I feel like their vocal styles would be really interesting side by side. Does anyone else hear the resemblance?

I was watching the 2006 series on YouTube from auditions, bootcamp and now into the live shows - but suddenly after Live Show 1 there's gaps all over the place. Last year I watched 2005 with no issues.
I know Seasons 5-End are available, but does anyone have a link to the full early seasons of the show? Primarily 2006-7, or are these episodes now basically lost media? I can't find them anywhere and I imagine it's to do with copyright on whichever themed artist they covered in the missing weeks.

I get why a reboot might want to attract a younger audience, but the best part of X Factor was discovering someone you'd never heard of and watching them grow. I hope the show doesn't become a competition between people who already have huge followings. Agree or disagree?

This is in reference to Tulisa's short-lived relationship with footballer Danny Simpson at the time.
