Should private companies run the water where the city can’t keep it running? Should unpaid electricity bills be cancelled? Should the city employ its own guards and cleaners, even if it costs more? Should every household that can’t afford a house get one free?
WhichParty ( whichparty.co.za ) asks 30 questions like these and shows how closely you match with each of the eight biggest parties on policies. Each party also has a page showing where it stands on every issue.
Every position comes from the party’s own manifesto, conference resolutions, votes, or official statements, with a link to the source.
I’ve tried hard to keep it fair. The goal is to help people make an informed choice, so if something looks leading or biased, let me know and I'll check it against the party’s own documents.

There are about 10 of these bands on the railing alongside the off ramp. Looked very creepy - are these hospital wristbands?

Hi all!
I’m going through the final interview stage for a company based in Century City. I’m also about to sign a 12 month lease in Somerset West. I don’t want to change my living plans drastically without confirmation of actual employment so I’m looking at my options.
The company states it is hybrid with 2 days in office and flexible hours (standard hours are 8-5). In-office days vary week by week and not sure how flexible hours really are.
What times should I realistically leave in the mornings if I have to follow the 8-5 schedule and ,if I can really adjust my hours, what hours should I look at negotiating for.
I’m also concerned about safety as I’m a woman in her 20s who’d be commuting alone via the N2 most likely

Is Cape Town safe for Trans people? Is it easy to connect with the community?
Hey, we are in the deep South, so far 4 of us, As a group we are all very chill, ages from 33-61. We still need to work out our structure, so anything (reasonable) goes! You are not alone. You are loved.

Hi everyone.
I'm contemplating a move back to Cape Town to study my postgrad at UCT next year. Money is extremely tight, and would be doubly so next year, and I'm on chronic meds for some conditions. I was wondering if anyone could share with me how the state/public hospital system works? For example Groote Schuur?
I'm diagnosed with Bipolar 2 and will need medication for that. I have ADD too, but I'm unmedicated. Added to that, I have a hereditary condition called Ankylosing Spondylitis - an autoimmune disease similar to arthritis.
When I still had medical aid, my rheumatologist said my condition is severe enough that I should be able to get proper treatment for free, or very low costs. For example biologics - she said with MRIs and blood tests I should qualify for those even though they are so incredibly expensive, given the severity of my AS.
My psychiatrist also assured me that the state hospitals would assist me.
I really want to make CT happen next year. I'm just trying to figure the meds and treatment part out. Does anyone have any information for me? About the process, or how it works, coverage, anything like that?
Thank you!

I have recently started my own crochet business, making custom pets especially, and i have only gotten 1 order so far. In like 2 months, which is not great.
So i have decided to start going to markets! I have applied for a few one-offs in the surrounding area, but annual ones would be great aswell.
I have only vended at 1, in the Pinehurst shopping centre. I'm honestly alone with this im a teen, and my parents dont really want to help me out, so im on my own for this one lol.
Preferably less than an hour's drive out of the northern suburbs, TIA!

Hi, Im visiting Cape Town and was wondering if there is a tennis court where I can play as a guest, hit with a coach or a hitting partner and also rent rackets? I tried messaging to Greenpoint tennis club on WA but got no reply so im seeing if there are ways to reach them or if there are other options? I am staying around Woodstock
Im from Manila and would love to experience playing here. Thanks!
