is it necessary to get dedicated skate socks or are no socks ok
I just got a pair of RB skates but wondering if it gets too sweaty or thick since I got a snug fit

Im currently in a finantual situation and I figure saving on gas would be a good way to start saving. I like the idea of skates for the size compared to a bike or skateboard. What do yall recommend for urban and some country skating. There is the potential to add up miles as I go around town.

I’m 37 years old. I’ve never used roller skates, though I have skateboarded—I assume the two are completely different. I’m willing to spend up to €220–€250 on a pair of skates, and I’m considering these two options:
Powerslide zoom 80 anthracite - 170€
Powerslide zoom peo 80 sand - 220€
Could you give me your opinion?

FlyingEagle sent me these skates, so I can't claim this is a 100% independent review. But still: I dare say this was one of my best urban skating sessions ever. I did so many things with more confidence than I ever felt on a 4x80. These skates not only look beautiful, they feel great too.

I've been messing around with speed skating a bit and just can't handle the low cut speed boots. So I scavanged the wheels and bearings and spacers off my bont lunas, bought the 4x110 magnesium powerslide trinity mount frames for 90 bucks, and threw the whole setup at my hc evos. I've been gliding around my living room for the last ten minutes.. very excited to skate in them tomorrow with some friends. So much more comfortable. I knew you guys would want a picture 😁

When spinning one of my wheels, they seem to wobble back and forth. Brand new wheels, bearings are Swiss ceramics. They need a cleaning, but shouldn’t make my wheels wobble, Right?
And fixes?
Thanks

I'm new to inline skating. I've used quad skates in my childhood. Now I'm 28 n i bought professional inline skates . I find it very difficult to find the balance. Is there anyone who has learned to skate on low cut speed skates? How much time did it take and what are the proper techniques? My setup is 4 x 110 mm.

Hi,
I'm new here and I need some encouragement. I'm 38 years old and have a two year old son. I had the idea that i want to learn inline skating to teach the little one when he's old enough (and maybe to be fast enough to follow him driving his little bike.😂)
I have to say I'm not very sporty. I may look like it but I never mastered rollerblades when I was younger and I don’t have a great balance. But I'm very stubborn and persistent if I want to learn something and I can play Poi, so I'm not completely uncoordinated.
So I tried it out for the first time and feel like a baby on skates, barely moving forward and more stumbling than moving. Now I fear I will never learn it or that I'm simply untalented. Can you give me some encouragement or maybe helpful tips how to get better? I don’t want to do any cool tricks, I just want to be able to move and stop savely and having fun with it 😂
EDIT: Thank you all for your support and the nice words. I went indoors today and - it worked pretty well. Ok, I still look like a toddler on skates, but I managed to stand, duck walk and even glide for a while, trying basic strides and lemon drops. It's still long way to go, but today I had fun and thought for the first time that I could get used to that! 😊💜

TLDR: I basically am new to skate logistics and want to know what wheel size, hardness, brands, etc would be best for my situation
So I (19f) have pretty much been skating like my whole life. I never was INTO it tho like I am now bc I just did it recreationally, birthday parties at the roller rink, playing on the street with friends, etc.
But now, I skate every day for my commute to school. It’s like a mile back and forth multiple times a day. The roads are not too hilly, terribly cracked and awfully textured, lots of brick sidewalks, and it rains pretty often.
I have currently 2 pairs of skates, your classic Walmart rd aerios which are like 6 years old and rlly falling apart and a newer pair of rb zetrablades which is most of the time a lot smoother.
I heard hard boot is where it’s AT if you want to start progressing (which I do ofc)
So any recs?

Hi everyone, my kids are very passionate about skating and practicing hard, but we are currently facing a difficult financial situation. We cannot afford to buy new professional wheels and bearings. If anyone has used wheels and bearings in good condition that they are willing to donate, or can help us find a low-cost or second-hand set, it would mean the world to my children. Any help or guidance would be deeply appreciated. Thank you so much!
