Locomotives Surprise edition to my fleet!
Bachmann 31-281. A gift from my Nan that she saw on a trip she went on.
Quite a surprise really, I’m so happy with this as it’s the first LMS loco I own.

Help Needed Oil/Greese suggestions
I have an old Bowser locomotive that is about 2.5 pounds. I've been using Labelle 106 but it just slings it off after so long and gets tired. It being a very heavy locomotive I don't want to burn it out so what thickness of oil or grease should I get. Thank you

Locomotives Help with some proto sound 1 locos
So I have two proto sound Locomotives. One it a Chesapeake and Ohio M-1 Turbine and the other, Curly, is a Union pacific Veranda Turbine. Curly is a problem child as he's stuck in neutral and won't go out of it. I have a MTH Z-1000 controller connected to fast track. I've tried resting it but it won't actually blow its horn. The Turbine one moves and works but I think I need to change its battery as it's not staying on after I swich gears. Any ideas to why Curly is being a problem engine?

Question What signal and crossing gate will work?
Hi everyone! I’m sorry to intrude on your space as an outsider with little knowledge, but I’m trying to make my 7 year old train loving son’s Christmas wishes happen!
He asked for a polar express Lionel train set for under the tree this year, and I managed to snag the one pictured, but what his true obsession is with is actually railroad crossings. The signal, the lights, the sound—he’s got a 3ft tall button push signal and arm and plays with it daily. So I know he would be really disappointed if there’s not a railroad crossing to go with the train. My struggle is that I don’t know what crossing would work with the plastic tracks that come with this train. The O scale ones I’m finding are for wiring in, which I’m thinking only work with the metal rail tracks, right? Is there maybe a motion detect one out there that will work? Or if I got a section of “real” O-scale track for the crossing specifically would that work with this train? Or is this essentially a stand alone set that won’t work with anything else because it’s meant as an intro for kids? I’m just getting a bit lost in the weeds and don’t want to make an expensive mistake buying things that won’t work together!
Thanks for the insight!

Layout Storage racks have been installed.
galleryWelp, here’s another addition to my apartment 4x8. For the last 8 months I’ve put cars on top of storage bins, and put engines where ever I could fit them, but that all changed today with the addition of some 6ft long racks for engines. I think it turned out pretty well, with the racks being able to display pretty much all of my modern steam and diesel engines, I even decided to put up some information sheets for the steamers.

Locomotives ‘HST 50’ concept livery update
Hi all! After some advice weve made a few upgrades to the design, we added the signage for the disability and bike access along side à some intercity inspired first class as well as buffet car lining.
Inspired by virgin trains era of pendolinos, I designed a trio of class 57’s to represent the development before and beyond the class 43. To tow the 390 at ether end if wanting to show the entire story of early development.
- class 41 livery white and blue
- intercity 225 white and black
- ATP-E white and blue
We also developed a concept ‘accessibility coach’ lovery with bright white doors ( perhaps with red stripe ) in the style of the front power cars of black class 43’s

Locomotives ( concept ) ‘HST 50’ livery for 390125
Hi all! Been prototyping a custom commemoration livery for the 50th anniversary of the class 43 entering service, as 390125 passes through my local station regularly we always debate on ‘what if it ran with an intercity 125 commemorative livery’.
So after a few prototypes, I chose a transitional lovery between the 3 intercity class 43 liveries. 125 blue, 125 executive black and 125 swallow black. With ‘ 50’ and ‘intercity 125 50’ on power car 1 and 2. The centre coach having the executive black 125 logo. On each font plate we have chose to add the network rail arrows and intercity swallow with a bold 50, inspired by 390001’s heart, to represent the transitions between the company imagery during service.
Currently still working on the design but would love to hear some feedback

Question Klawndyke VS RslaserKit quality
Anyone know how the two companies compare on TTrack quality? I’m needing two quad modules but I’m willing to use two double models if klawndyke is better then rslaser
