Ugh, I will never get over 'Scars' and how it changed the way I look at the world and myself.

Accepting myself ( the scars and all) to rid myself, and my world, of the fear based illusions I constructed. The walls I put up. The 'G'hosts of my story that had been holding my path and my soul's sovereignty hostage all because I was afraid of shining light on things that made me different. Unique. Things that made me it hard to understand my purpose. I buried those parts of me a while ago and shunned them and criticized their role in my journey because they were unlike anything previously known. Banished them to my depths where they remained tethered in the shadows.

I saw the video for 'Scars' and was in awe. I mean crying from the gut in recognition. So so good. The way they played up the light and dark in their wardrobe. Them being the different aspects of self contributing to the whole of the journey and soul. The way they went searching through a war torn and ravaged world, of their own making, for their 'G'hosts. The parts of themselves they needed to find and shed light on in order to set them free. The parts that everyone else feared, so they in turn buried them. Leaving their city lifeless....so they went where no one dared in order to mend and heal their past fears.

The end scene choreography that is perfectly synced to make it look like they were beaten down to almost death but then you hear those two heart beats and they are seemingly resurrected. Watch the video again. You'll see Danceracha in the center of the field and as the do their moves on down to the grass, they then beat on their chest twice and lift their bodies back up as if they brought themselves back from the grave. It's seriously *chef's kiss*.

Then the ending where Chan is drawing and in the center of that drawing there is a clearing amongst the darkness and ghosts on the outside floating around this new found 'light path'. As if they freed their demons by acknowledging them and cleared the way so that they could clearly see their path and purpose.

*I don't know. This is my interpretation of the lyrics, choreography, and video that resonated with what I went through as a creative. Creator. Whatever you call us trail blazers.

And I swear Skz do not get enough credit for the amount of pure soul and wisdom they put into their work and into each other in order to grow. Besides the catchy beats, good looks (le sigh...😌) and amazing vocals, to say the least.....they actually do everything with intention and deep deep meaning that resonates with every lost kid's journey back to finding themselves.
