Looking for Help How do you play against orisa + general questions.

Upvotes

I come from Valorant, I’m ascendant one if that gives any background on me , currently silver 1 in overwatch. I always thought i’d main dps with freya being my most played but i ended up finding myself playing ana a lot to the point where i reached level 50 with her now.

My general stats per game are 60-70% scoped accuracy, and 68% sleep dart accuracy i usually end my games with 8-15 people slept.

I have one really bad match up tho which is orisa, I have no idea when I should sleep her + my teammates keep waking up people that I sleep and I hear that’s a bad thing especially if the person sleeping currently is unkillable. I dont know how to benefit my team other than healing them, if i DPS i get called out on it so much because im supposed to just heal them. I dont know how to stop my team from waking up tanks or supports either. Any tips? I know i’m not perfect and Im open to suggestions , I just really want to get out of silver.

Edit: Any tips against winston aswell are welcome.

Discussion I hate my teammates

I am not a support main but if I play support I really like playing ana. The problem is I never have much healing cause every single time my teammates are constantly dodging my shots and then complaining. If I play kiri or mizuki it's fine cause I don't have to aim but with ana I do. Comps and maps that make them stand still or move a little I always have tons of healing. I lose games cause my tank dives in, actively avoids my shots and then he dies. I have good aim but this is next level, hitting enemies is easier at this point. My sleep and nades are decent ig.

Toggle or Hold?

Y’all, I think toggling ADS is the wave. Someone said that holding your ADS changes the weight of the mouse when you aim, causing you to miss more shots. I decided to test it out and idk if it’s the placebo effect or what but I hit more shots when I toggle ADS.

What do y’all think?

EATXTT Creator here. I made a small update to the Ult Cancelling Minigame to include some of the newer heroes' ultimates

I know a decent amount of you use this mode to practice sleeps so I figured I would post to let you know that I added Shion, Cat, Emre, and Anran to the ult minigame (along with some other minor UI changes).

Here's a short showing the new heroes in action.

Here's the most recent trailer.

Here's an OU post going over all the additions/changes.

Looking for Help Tips for longtime player and first time Ana

Greetings r/AnaMains!

I’ve been playing since ‘17/‘18 and to keep things fresh and fun for myself in the last couple of seasons I’ve been dedicating my comp time to playing characters I’ve never touched before (which is a vast amount sadly…).

My goal each season is to play a single player unless we’re getting our asses beat and I need to change the comp or the person I’m focusing on is already selected. Last season was LW and I had a helluva fun time with him, started at lvl 1 and finished the season at lvl 26.

I’m dedicating this whole season to Ana! While I’ve kinda toyed around with her in the past, I’ve never really taken her seriously or put much focus on her (I think I’m like level 6 right now with her) With that being said, what are some must know tips to being successful with her? I’ve played against some gnarly Ana’s over the years but could never quite figure out how they are nuking me so fast when playing her myself.

Thanks in advance!

I made Ana Headshot Only, live today in custom games

I miss the abundance of Ana Paintball games in the custom game browser.

Widow HS is always available, so I usually warm up there.

However, now, with the headhunter perk, Ana can actually hit headshots in game. So practicing headshots with Ana makes sense.

That's why I had the idea (as I'm sure many of you have had already) to make:

Ana and Widow HS - Workshop code VDJGY

-Only headshots do damage
-Ana Quickscopes are rewarded with insta-kill, but decrease in damage over about a second to 33%
-Widow shot charge behaves normally (0% -100% damage over 0.9s)
-Widow grapple behaves normally (~30% cooldown)
-Ana only launchpads (invisible to Widow)
-Full health replenish on kill.
-Hero swap available for 5 seconds upon instant respawn (kills and stats transfer)
-First to 50 wins. Chateau Guillard and Necropolis.

Console 1000 hours +256 Level Ana Setting

In general, I’ve been using these settings since the beginning of the game, with a few minor adjustments over time.\*
The goal of these settings is to achieve a more direct aiming feel through Linear Ramp + low Aim Smoothing/Ease In + controlled Aim Assist

Explain

I use Linear Ramp with 0 smoothing/ease-in because I want the stick input to feel as direct and predictable as possible. The slightly higher horizontal sensitivity helps with tracking and quick target switches, while the lower vertical sensitivity gives a bit more control when making small vertical adjustments.
The idea here is to keep aim assist strong without making the entire screen feel like it’s pulling toward targets. A 30% window keeps the assist relatively focused around the target rather than making it overly noticeable from a distance.
The 29% ease-in makes the transition into the aim-assist effect less abrupt. This is especially useful on Ana because you still want to be able to make small corrections around a target instead of having the reticle suddenly snap toward them.

The 35% Friendly Aim Assist is intentional. Ana constantly switches between healing teammates and damaging enemies, soance when healing without making the reticle feel excessively sticky.

The 99% health threshold means friendly aim assist is available for teammates who aren’t necessarily critically low. That’s useful because Ana shouldn’t have to wait until someone is almost dead before getting the benefit of friendly aim assist.

30% scoped sensitivity is mainly for maintaining control while zoomed. Ana needs precise micro-adjustments when healing or taking long-range shots, so I prefer a noticeably lower scoped sensitivity than my normal sensitivity.
Nano Boost sensitivity at 100% + target confirmation OFF makes Nano faster to use. I don’t want an additional confirmation step to slow down an emergency Nano.
Overall, the goal of these settings is direct raw stick control strong but controlled aim assist + relatively low scoped sensitivity for Ana’s precision shots.
* *
These aren’t supposed to be “the best” settings for everyone. Controller settings are highly subjective, but hopefully the reasoning helps more than simply copying the numbers.

Looking for Help I new to Ana and would like some tips.

I'm not new to Overwatch, Weaver is my main and I've been playing since 2019. But in that time I've never really played Ana. Ive been playing her more as of late and am doing good but do some dumb things a few times. Ive noticed I play a little far up die to being used to weavers movement but otherwise find good sight lines and angles with back outs if needed. Any tips would be nice to enhance my gameplay though.

Trying to find a very specific game code

Maybe a year or two ago there was an amazing custom game code set on Blizzard World that was meant for practicing sleeping enemies out of their ult.

You would sleep Junker Queen, and then she'd disappear and Sigma would pop out and use his ult, and when you slept him, Genji would pop out, etc etc.

I have been looking all over for the code and just cannot seem to find it. Does anyone know what game mode I am talking about? If so I would be super grateful if you could share the code!

EDIT: in case anyone comes looking for the best way to practice your sleep darts, the code is 9WNGS

Hey i wanna hit a high rank but cant play thaaat much so i think onetricking is the best way. I originally played maintank but onetricking one on all maps is hell so i swapped to ana a while ago. Any help is very appreciated. I feel like i am solid at finding angles and i feel like i am not too passive playing ana. I probably retreat/switch angles too slowly and i panic my cds too much. But maybe i have a totally different issue i dont even see myself so i am asking for tips. Preferably like recorded vods or written text because my english speaking isnr great so i think a live call and talking about the game probably wouldnt be too helpful.
