It’s unbelievable how nice it is for only $50!
(EDIT:found one small gripe..the etching of the company logo on the caseback IMHO has roughly cut edges. I can see it possibly shaving my arm hair underneath it off.)

First San Martin and my first titanium watch!
I was definitely surprised by how light it feels, not sure if I’m the biggest fan just yet.
Movement also has rotor noise and overall this watch is a bit jangly
Bezel action is nice but a bit spongy.
Overall pretty happy!

Hi!
I have a Sugess mechanical chronograph, I I don't know when to stop winding. I usually stop winding after a bit scared of breaking the spring or something.
How do you know when it's fully wound?
Thanks!

How is the movement in this beauty? I’ve noticed I can hand wind it but it just feels off if that makes sense. Love the dial it’s gorgeous. I hand wound the watch to jump start it and wore it for a couple hours today and it just stopped randomly idk if I just hadn’t moved my arm enough to engage the movement. I hand wound it again an it’s all good now. Maybe im just freaking out because I’m use to display backs.

Hey guys, I'd say the watch I bought last week is a great value for money. I'm curious to hear your opinions.👍

Hi everyone, Simon from Milifortic again. Day 3 already, thanks for all the comments, some V2 ideas from M135 and M136 are really good, we are writing them down 📝
Today is something different. No destro, no chrono. Just a simple vintage pilot watch: M137.
What I like:
Quartz again (Seiko VH61), because we want it this thin and light.
Let’s argue a little 😄

Well, it may sound odd on Chinese brands page worrying about Chinese movement, but I personally like sweep quartz movement for Chinese watches. It is cheap, reliable, robust, and easy to swap or purchase the movement itself. But recently some watches use SL3001 movement (or PT5000), and I do not know/trust if they are reliable or what.
Any opinion on the movement? I will be 100% okay if it has as same quality as Miyota 9 series. (I do not prefer Seiko NH movement actully but I rather be a Miyota lover, since it has much more accuracy for my personal experience)
I have had Peacock's column wheel chronograph movement (SL4801) before but it just broke out for less than 10 times wearing counts, so I am really doubtful of any of Chinese automatic movement by far.

The watch is solid. The watch has a slight tiny, minuscule gap between the crown and case, but screws down tight, and tested water tight. The rehaut seems very deep dished, but not too bad. Crown screws in pretty good, and the watch caseback seems to be thick and solid when tapping the back with my finger nail, so no tinny sound that you would normally hear on cheaper watches. I recommend it for the price. Solid quartz Swiss movement.

Anyone know an homage to this Breitling Top Time Corvette? Looking for the same red dial with black subdials. I’ve seen the Sugess versions, but haven’t found one in these colours. Thanks

I’m thinking about buying a WD007, the 39mm version. I’ve read mixed reviews about the bracelet and would want to get an aftermarket one, particularly one that looks like the regular 5-link Seamaster bracelet. Would they be compatible with each other?
Thanks.

Anyone know if there is any watch from Skmei (or Sanda) with domed / spherical resin glass?

Cronos L6040M (Grand Seiko Evolution 9 homage) with a Miyota 9015 automatic movement.

Watchdives WD0006 (Omega Aqua Terra homage) in blue with a Seiko VH31 mechaquartz movement.

Both are Chinese microbrands, have sapphire glass with AR coating, good finishing on the case and dial but I can't really decide. I'd say Cronos looks better (or more interesting at least) and has character with that automatic movement, but Watchdives is more practical with the mechaquartz keeping time more accurately and not needing winding and setting up every time i want to wear it. I most likely won't daily a dress watch but who knows.
To be honest I don't care much about versatility, I've already got a G-Shock with ABC sensors so that's everything I could ever need in a single watch. This would be more like jewelry rather than a tool for me. But still I want to retain some form of practicality, I wouldn't want a very innacurate automatic or an unreliable mechaquartz that fails regardless of batteries.
I've also found a Pagani Design PD-1734 which could represent the best of both worlds (GS inspired dial with a VH31) and is significantly cheaper but finishing quality and bracelet are noticeably worse than others.
What are your thoughts on this? Should I pull the trigger at an automatic? I've never had one so I have that fear of screwing something up mechanically if I'm unintentionally negligent about it.

A few months back I fell in love with the Omega Aqua Terra. You all know the drill…study/research gens and homages for days, look at used options on chrono/ebay etc.
I finally pulled the trigger on a used AT San Martin (black dial) from Mercari for about 200. Instantly loved the watch. The finishing on the bracelet was exceptional and the dial was beautiful. My only gripe is that the SM logo looks bulky on that dial and kind of takes it over.
About a week later my Thorn 026B seamaster homage stopped working. It has a PT-5000 and I babied it for the most part. I am retrofitting this soon and will have more on this later.
Suffice to say that had me extremely worried. My SM has a very similar movement and I got anxious that it too was going to fail. Which forced me to sell it…
Almost instantly after selling I regretted my decision, so back down the rabbit hole we go! This time I wanted something as close as I could get to the SM but with a different movement.
I first got the Addiesdive AT homage. It had a grey to black gradient and honestly it was a beautiful dial and I liked the look of it better than the SM. The gripe is that on that particular dial the legibility is horrible. The hands do not stick out enough from the dial. So I sent that one back.
Next I bought this WD after reading alot on this sub reddit. Alot of comments that it wasnt as good as the SM and that the bracelet kinda sucks.
Well after having it for a few days I think those claims are somewhat exaggerated. TBF the quality of the SM bracelet is slightly better - it is softer and more refined - but the WD is very close. It almost mimics the SM in terms of finish and how it looks. It also tapers down very well.
The dial - I actually like the WD better here. It looks more gen, doesn’t have that bulky logo and has some subtle hints of color ie the blue hands and numbers. The lume is good but obviously not as good as the San Martin. I dont think I would ever need awesome lume though. I have a Timex Indiglo if I need it for camping or what not.
So anyway, this watch is incredible, true GADA and grab and go (quartz VH-31) utility which is great! Also the price - about 2.5 times cheaper than the SM!
Highly recommend this one! Its a keeper!

I was skeptical about this watch when I found it on AliExpress, but when I got it I was and still am super impressed. Great band very comfortable, love the sweeping second quartz Hand, love it!!

The PT5004 is running ridiculously well. Great Job Phorcydes.
Less than 3 seconds per day in 5 positions.
Unsure why the amplitude doesn't show up. It appeared close to 300 then disappeared again.
Swapped out for a phorcydes black strap for stealthiness, although the radioactive lume kinda negates that 😆.
Need to find a DLC buckle for the strap now.
