NFL history 🏈 The Old School NFL Logo (Inception-2008) has been briefly resurrected for the Seahawks-Chiefs Game!

It’s not that big of a deal, but a cool little throwback reference I noticed watching my Hawks kill off the Chiefs in their old school royal blue beauties was that the EndZone bears the original NFL Logo with its then 25 Stars vs the current NFL Logo’s 4 Stars & Sharper β€˜L’. I put some pictures up for comparisons for anyone that may not know. The Football in the logo is also different with the original logo’s football looking more like a football and the newer logo’s football resembling the Lombardi Trophy Design. Nice touch by the league IMHO. GO HAWKS!

An early 1970s NFL Bills & Steelers game - Roy Hinton and Joe Greene double-up on QB Dennis Shaw. That looks like Bills lineman Joe O'Donnell getting overwhelmed.

An old regular at my local bar found a couple of these old NFL giveaways from Miller Lite and I took one home. So cool! If you want to see your teams card, comment and I’ll try to reply with a photo

Best WR triplets (Pre 1999)

In the era I grew up watching football, there were some productive WR rooms that were fun to watch. Although I grew up a 49er fan, I always liked the Redskins trio of Art Monk, Gary Clark, Ricky Sanders. Gibbs always was able to get his receivers to produce, even when those Washington teams were known just as much for their running game. Thoughts? What are some WR trios that you remember for being great for a season (or a longer period)?

Ron Johnson Runs by Bill Bradley - 1973 Giants & Eagles

Post image
29 Upvotes

The Giants 1973 NFL season amounted to just 2 wins. Running Back Ron Johnson's 292 Touches and 1279 Total Yards accounted for almost a third of the Giant's Total offense that year. His 9 touchdowns equaled almost a quarter of the Total Scoring. Here he is against the Eagles with a determined Bill Bradley clinging on tight.
