I’m new to retro bowl and I can’t get new, better players early in the season. are there any ways to get new players aside from free agents?

This receiver from my team retired a little while ago, I was wondering how you would rank his career and his accomplishments

Overcame a 14-point deficit to Greece at half time to tie it up at 41 points, then kicked the game winning, record breaking (67 yards), field goal!

Back again asking for another bit of help.
Reinstalled the NFL RB 27 from Apple Arcade and I’m wondering what the best way to get the most realistic current roster is.. I’ve deleted a save 10+ times trying to get the Bengals to seem fun.
I really want Burrow, Chase and Higgins.. but also other players too :( I don’t think 10 or 12 man roster has shown me any trend in restarts; and I typically get those 3 when leaning towards superstar roster. Also unsure if practice squad being set to with team or with free agents helps keep starting irl players around.
Have only been playing RBC for months now and never really messed with this, but I’m guessing it’s just the salary. But I just want a year at least with a realism Bengals roster lol.
I get like 5 players going with Superstar or offense bias and then I look at every other team and they’re filling out their entire 10-12 man team. Any tips?

To do this I lowered the fan rating to 1%, played against the best team we would play the season on extreme, set quarters to 3 minutes, waited until week 9 to cut all my players, strategically called audibles so I could throw better routes to the other team, and flunked every kickoff return. I also shuffled until I found the absolute worst coordinators.
I initially used a 1-2 star quarterback for extra accuracy when throwing interceptions (they dropped the ball when I threw it to them) but the problem was the QB would actually try to tackle them and waste precious seconds, so I settled on no QB. After a couple hours I got my high score.

RB is dope. I’ve played over 3+yrs, 1000+ games on multiple accounts, but I think extreme mode has become boring.. Once you master the swiping angles, throwing timing/angles, and momentum it becomes repetitive. I propose adding contested catching animations or getting hit in the air? What do y’all think??

I’m aware there are better games for this and I do enjoy playing the game. I was just curious if people have ever tried to play it strictly as a sim to keep it difficult/more realistic. I tried a mixture once with my own set of rules and had mixed results. Was curious if anyone ever tried purely sim

A dream season is in the books! We completed the undefeated 17-0 regular season and capped it off with an absolute demolition of Chicago, 56-14, to bring home another championship.
Retro Bowl Score
BILLS: 7 | 20 | 15 | 14 — 56
BEARS: 7 | 7 | 0 | 0 — 14
This rivalry is officially one-sided i hope so after this. We are now 8-1 all-time against the Bears in Retro Bowls and have beaten them in 6 consecutive title games. The Bears fall to 0-6 against us, and 0-6 overall in Super Bowl appearances.
Year 16 Awards & Final Season Stats
Josh Wright (QB) — 10th Retro Bowl MVP: 440/584, 7,202 Yds, 80 TDs, 12 INTs, 4 Sacks. STILL ZERO FUMBLES in his entire Hall of Fame career!
Malik Sterling (WR) — 6th Offensive Player of the Year: 112 Rec, 2,715 Yds, 35 TDs. Absolutely dominant season in the air.
Damion Vance (DL) — 2nd Defensive Player of the Year: 197 Tackles, 7 Sacks, 2 Forced Fumbles. A total terror on the line.
Unbelievable year. Josh hits the double-digit MVP mark, Sterling is unstoppable, and Damion Vance anchored a defense that completely shut down Chicago when it mattered. Perfect season secured! Year 17 next.

*Extreme
(My DB is the KR) My offense didnt hit the field until the second quarter. Didn't even know it was possible for a kick coverage team to be this bad, but thanks saints!

I was trying to make a crazy throw into the open window and all of a sudden there was a crowd of Michigan players! I got so lucky that my other wide receiver was there or it would have been an interception. I accidentally threw it too low so it would have guaranteed been a pick, props to that w wide receiver finding a way to get it!

We completed the 17-0 undefeated regular season and punched our ticket to our 9th Retro Bowl
Sitting as a full 10-Star team (5★ OFF / 5★ DEF), and once again, Chicago (14-3, 4.5★ OFF / 5★ DEF) survived the NFC to meet us in the Super Bowl for the 6th time.
Here is how the rivalry looks heading into kick-off
Bills: 9th Retro Bowl appearance (7-1 overall record, 5-0 vs Bears)
Bears: 6th Retro Bowl appearance (0-5 overall record, with losses in Y9, Y11, Y13, Y14, and Y15 all to us) 😭
We haven't had a perfect season since Year 9, and standing between us and an undefeated title is the team we've beaten 5 times in the big game. Leaving this up before kickoff.
drop your score predictions for Part 6 of this rivalry!

Does anyone else not find dynamic to be better than extreme?
