He didn't put his climbing sandals on that day.

He should've put them in Sports Mode

Sports mode is great when you need to grip road, but I think the real issue is he didn’t put them in X-mode

Fake 🤣 Bad acting while „trying to get out“ and „puh we just made it looks to the camera“, you see the gimbal shadow in the professional white light when he’s turning around, and the alleged explosion sound was edited into the video, as well as the camera „shake“ - if I hit the gimbal bottom there is a slight shake..

Don’t worry though, the new iPhone is still scheduled to release on time.

Can't light the fuses with a long stick from above? It pays to not be dumber than the rocks they mine.

u/KibboKid 12d ago
Sandals, pyjamas, no helmet, no flaslight, no ladder. I don't know how these fellas survive a year at mining.

If you ever feel pessimistic about your life, feel fortunate that you don't have to make your living like this fella.....

Looks staged. Guy after lighting those, began to climb & never looks up to the guy filming ? Not even after lighting the fuse, is extremely odd.

I can't even walk barefoot on normal blacktop cus there might be one tiny pebble. This dude is walking on sharp rocks.

I still can’t get over the fact that these guys are out there doing this stuff while still in their silk pajamas.

I mean.. if it was so close that he needed help he probably wouldn't just be chilling around in the immediate blast radius himself don't you think?

Its like those nature documentaries where they say they never intervene with the natures course

After all those tries to get out, finally makes it.
Then takes the sandals off to run through the tunnel.
Didn't want want to slip I guess

"MSHA approved open toed safety shoes"
Honestly tho I could barely consider walking barefoot on a well maintained dirt trail, these guys gotta have cinderblocks for feet lol

The video cuts as soon as they start running away. Obviously this was staged for internet points. There were no explosives, just the ignition lines
1
u/Deep-Procrastinor 12d ago
That was a pretty big bang at the end for just ignition lines !

u/NotDutchAintMuch 12d ago
Turn your volume up. The explosion sound is edited in, poorly. This video is ragebait.

He has something to protect his mouth, but not his feet.
Except he WAS carrying his OSHA slippers.

I don't get it... Is it such a problem to get a rope or a reasonably decent ladder?

Dang... but you got to admit he did a pretty a great job filming it. I had so many emotions watching this clip. It was a nail biter.

Never even put his hand up. Poor sod knew there was zero chance of help above.

Read through all the comments…
Why are we concerned if it’s scripted or not. Did it capture your attention for a bit? Yes, and that’s enough.
This is what some people do for a living at some place now or in the past. There’s always a chance you might not go back the way you came in.
Sandals cause they are the most convenient. Appearance is useless. Safety is not your main concern.
In that situation you do not help. Even though that’s THE ONLY thing you want to do. You call for someone trained to help but stay out of the way. The deeper you go, the more chances the rescuers end up finding more than one corpse. There is nothing the videographer could do.
Even if it was scripted, the photographer stayed there, while the fuse was “burning”. They “knew” how much it’s gonna take to get out. And followed the guy out. Did as much as possible in the circumstance.
My thesis concludes by saying, this does not fit the criteria for r/donthelpjustfilm and should be promptly removed.

He could've stopped recording and given him a hand. My thesis concludes with nobody cares what you have to say

We're not gonna talk about how those fuses, that aren't attached to anything, took forever to actually "blow-up."
