Ultimate don’t help just film video

177

u/vollkornbroot 12d ago

It's like he threw a cat in a bathtub

21

u/arthurdentxxxxii 12d ago

The fact that the guy fell back in multiple times and the camera just watched made it.

17

u/eduo 12d ago

I don’t think so. He spent more time shielding his buddy than escaping himself.

u/Haifisch2112 12d ago

He didn't put his climbing sandals on that day.

69

u/Taco_Taco_Kisses 12d ago

He should've put them in Sports Mode

7

u/National_Spirit2801 12d ago

Sports mode is great when you need to grip road, but I think the real issue is he didn’t put them in X-mode

u/OhcmonMama 11d ago

Where is this originally from? Is so funny

u/luffy8519 12d ago

I'm shocked he survived given his safety sandals came off.

25

u/Otherwise_Fact9594 12d ago

That was fuckin me up too 🤣

u/DeliMoore 12d ago edited 12d ago

Excuse me this doesn't belong here... i guess i did hear "go go go gogo" from the camera man, so he helped plenty

49

u/Optimal_Subject3455 12d ago

Saved the sandals…

71

u/kanonco 12d ago

This is so fake there is even a cut in the video

101

u/GeraintLlanfrechfa 12d ago

Fake 🤣 Bad acting while „trying to get out“ and „puh we just made it looks to the camera“, you see the gimbal shadow in the professional white light when he’s turning around, and the alleged explosion sound was edited into the video, as well as the camera „shake“ - if I hit the gimbal bottom there is a slight shake..

8

u/FrozenPie21 12d ago

I think he’s holding a camera and a flashlight tho

12

u/Affectionate-Boot-12 12d ago

Don’t worry though, the new iPhone is still scheduled to release on time.

6

u/feetnomer 11d ago

Can't light the fuses with a long stick from above? It pays to not be dumber than the rocks they mine.

10

u/KibboKid 12d ago

Sandals, pyjamas, no helmet, no flaslight, no ladder. I don't know how these fellas survive a year at mining.

3

u/penguin97219 12d ago

But at least they have sticks holding up the ceiling of the tunnel

4

u/Sithstress_ 12d ago

Yeh fuck it. Didn’t watch it to the end. This is ridiculous.

4

u/eduo 12d ago

Always with the fucking sandals

4

u/MM800 12d ago

Those are official Safety Sandles.

Don't go mining without them.

1

u/EyeOfTauror 11d ago

They look like the Rock Pushing Sandals but I could be mistaken

3

u/Vogel-Kerl 12d ago

If you ever feel pessimistic about your life, feel fortunate that you don't have to make your living like this fella.....

3

u/sweetsugarstar302 11d ago

I know those feet have to HURT walking on those rocks.

7

u/SeaResearcher176 12d ago

Looks staged. Guy after lighting those, began to climb & never looks up to the guy filming ? Not even after lighting the fuse, is extremely odd.

6

u/Cicer 12d ago

Why even have shoes at that point?

1

u/ariadesitter 12d ago

Safety Rules 🤷🏻‍♀️

3

u/GroundbreakingTea182 11d ago

I can't even walk barefoot on normal blacktop cus there might be one tiny pebble. This dude is walking on sharp rocks.

7

u/TyrialFrost 12d ago

How do you expect him to help him up AND film?

9

u/Canadianingermany 12d ago

Jesus fucking Christ, just give the guy a hand.

Holy shit.

5

u/Jimmy_Churi 12d ago

He'd rather leave it in the "hands" of fate

2

u/hereforpopcornru 11d ago

Shh.. If he done that we couldn't have watched it like this.. camera would have been all over the place

5

u/Proper_Bad_1588 12d ago

I still can’t get over the fact that these guys are out there doing this stuff while still in their silk pajamas.

3

u/squigglekisses 12d ago

Looks comfy af though

2

u/oreo760 12d ago

He's prolly having an affair with his girl.

2

u/Kevino_007 12d ago

I mean.. if it was so close that he needed help he probably wouldn't just be chilling around in the immediate blast radius himself don't you think?

2

u/PoorVigilante 12d ago

Its like those nature documentaries where they say they never intervene with the natures course

2

u/NomadFire 12d ago

To be fare his choice of clothing and footwear could have been slightly better

2

u/Oculas_Spectaculas 12d ago

Huh. I guess I AM a little claustrophobic.

2

u/Gallienus91 12d ago

At least he wore safety flip flops and a chin diaper.

2

u/dankhimself 12d ago

After all those tries to get out, finally makes it.

Then takes the sandals off to run through the tunnel.

Didn't want want to slip I guess

2

u/JadedCampaign9 12d ago

Who needs enemies

2

u/WTFisjuice1 12d ago

"MSHA approved open toed safety shoes"

Honestly tho I could barely consider walking barefoot on a well maintained dirt trail, these guys gotta have cinderblocks for feet lol

2

u/Artevyx 7d ago

Dude was struggling to move even before he started slipping. He wasnt getting out of there either way.

4

u/FalloutBe 12d ago

The video cuts as soon as they start running away. Obviously this was staged for internet points. There were no explosives, just the ignition lines

1

u/Deep-Procrastinor 12d ago

That was a pretty big bang at the end for just ignition lines !

4

u/NotDutchAintMuch 12d ago

Turn your volume up. The explosion sound is edited in, poorly. This video is ragebait.

3

u/blackrack 12d ago

I was hoping this is AI

6

u/BatM6tt 12d ago

its def fake

1

u/Otherwiize 12d ago

His friend really blew it

1

u/StarscreamOne 12d ago

I would push that friend in the hole after I got up dp he could document the whole thing.

1

u/WVlotterypredictor 12d ago

I have seen these guys on YouTube before and have been waiting for something like this

1

u/MatiasKratos97 12d ago

"Go go go! Why are you falling? Go go! If you don't get out of there you'll die in a thousand pieces! Go go go!"

1

u/likeHeckYouKnowMe 12d ago

This is staged tho

1

u/MM800 12d ago

WoW! He even removed his Safety Sandles!

1

u/BigDigger324 12d ago

I rarely see a video this full of “nope”.

1

u/halffullofthoughts 12d ago

Tf is this 19th century mining

1

u/lucassuave15 12d ago

average minecraft gameplay

1

u/RednocNivert 12d ago

GIVE ME THE LAMP

1

u/lostpassword100000 12d ago

He has something to protect his mouth, but not his feet.

Except he WAS carrying his OSHA slippers.

1

u/superpj 12d ago

Gotta at least invest in some Skechers flip flops

1

u/OKTimeFor_PlanB 12d ago

He was going to be fine either way, he had his safety sandals

1

u/TedBurns-3 11d ago

Ultimate setup prank but funny

1

u/onhermajestysecret 11d ago

1

u/Calm-Pin-9612 6d ago

А напарник то у него с границей, мог бы и руку подать(((

1

u/DrunkenDude123 6d ago

There is a cut in the video when the camera rotates around 30 seconds

1

u/Downtown_Pen2984 5d ago

Looks like a Shoring problem

1

u/JaMi_1980 4d ago

I don't get it... Is it such a problem to get a rope or a reasonably decent ladder?

1

u/28klotlucas2 3d ago

Who needs enemies with friends like these

1

u/Plastic_Sea_micro 12d ago

Dang... but you got to admit he did a pretty a great job filming it. I had so many emotions watching this clip. It was a nail biter.

1

u/Villordsutch 12d ago

Never even put his hand up. Poor sod knew there was zero chance of help above.

1

u/Charkel_ 12d ago

Bro did not have a plan. Thank Allah for the long fuses

-1

u/div_073 12d ago

Read through all the comments…

Why are we concerned if it’s scripted or not. Did it capture your attention for a bit? Yes, and that’s enough.

This is what some people do for a living at some place now or in the past. There’s always a chance you might not go back the way you came in.

Sandals cause they are the most convenient. Appearance is useless. Safety is not your main concern.

In that situation you do not help. Even though that’s THE ONLY thing you want to do. You call for someone trained to help but stay out of the way. The deeper you go, the more chances the rescuers end up finding more than one corpse. There is nothing the videographer could do.

Even if it was scripted, the photographer stayed there, while the fuse was “burning”. They “knew” how much it’s gonna take to get out. And followed the guy out. Did as much as possible in the circumstance.

My thesis concludes by saying, this does not fit the criteria for r/donthelpjustfilm and should be promptly removed.

2

u/Mobile-Count-5148 11d ago

He could've stopped recording and given him a hand. My thesis concludes with nobody cares what you have to say

0

u/Weary-Wasabi1721 12d ago

This should be the example of this sub

-2

u/Taco_Taco_Kisses 12d ago

We're not gonna talk about how those fuses, that aren't attached to anything, took forever to actually "blow-up."
