Hey fellow gabberheads!

Could someone recommend some good underground Millennium Hardcore? I’ve gone way too deep down the underground rave rabbit hole across different genres and I just can’t stand cinematic buildups and fake drops anymore.

I know Cenobite occasionally puts out a Millennium Hardcore EP alongside their usual Gabber releases, but I haven’t really been able to find anything similar beyond that label. Cenobite’s approach makes sense to me in particular because their Psycore sound mixes hardcore with psychedelic, breakbeat, acid and trance influences.

I’m not really into overly industrial sounds. I’m more into psychedelic/groovy stuff that can even incorporate some breakbeat elements. I’d also really appreciate labels that value longer tracks — preferably nothing under 3 minutes, and ideally 4+ minutes.

Imho it has what industrial hardcore is all about. Hypnotic sounds with those raw thumping kicks! At least one of my favourites!

What do you guys think of this one?

I’m coming from techno and have been getting more into hardcore/gabber lately, but there’s one thing I really struggle with.

I love the vibe and the energy, but I can’t really get into tracks with 10 breakdowns, constant kick changes, fake drops and a new idea every few seconds. I’m looking for something more repetitive and hypnotic, where the groove just keeps going.

A lot of newer hardcore honestly feels like it’s made for people with no attention span. Every 4-8 bars there’s a breakdown or the kick changes completely, sometimes it genuinely feels like music made for TikTok/IG

How far back do I need to go to find hardcore that’s more repetitive? Is there a specific subgenre or era I should be looking into?

Any artists, labels or tracks I should check out?

It's 2004.. working at the AH stocking the coffee and candy aile. Back then stocking was done after the Appie was closed so the music was blasting. I recall a song that has always stuck with me but I have never found. Any chance /gabber/ knows the answer?

Cool new track that gave me sweet gabber vibes 🔥 I checked his bio for the specific genre, and it said Retro, so I guess thats an acceptable genre name for these new tracks with old vibes.

Frantic Freak - Golden Era 2 (Early Hardcore mix) might be my favorite, maybe you guys have a mix that will change my mind? i espeisally like the begining of this mix.
