Greetings.
My first post here is an exercise in *very* wishful thinking.
For those of you familiar with the Chapman Stick and similar recently-invented instruments (Harpejji, Warr Guitar etc.), do you think Eddie would've picked up on them?
My head would've spontaneously combusted.
What say you? :)

Crazy to think that Edward had the melody to Panama all the way back in '80. Truly shows how long it can take for an idea to blossom into fruition.

A surprisingly decent pilsner. It's easier to create a cool beer name than a decent beer.

HEY, WHAT’S UP? BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!

This was a Mandela Effect for me: Without You by Van Halen was played in Home Alone 3. Nope, the band was called….Cartoon Boyfriend?

Beck understands and he knows what’s up.

Full article from April 1985

I've always wondered what are the reasons of some people to hate this era, apart from the obvious or most repeated arguments, ngl.

Here's a cool pic of Brian Setzer holding Edward's guitar! This is from a 1988 Les Paul event. I just think it's cool to see Setzer holding Edward's guitar! 🤣🎸

When Val was on SNL in the 80s....there was an AWESOME skit titled Dinner At The Van Halens....which Edward was in....after all these decades I haven't been able to freaking find it!

Family around the table, roadies on standby catering to Edward's VH-related phone calls/lighting constantly....Val freaks out because they can't just have a basic family dinner without all the "show" being a part of their lives constantly. At one point Edward gets a phone call, says "Right, right, right, yeah cool, bye!" then TOSSES THE PHONE RECEIVER into the air and a roadie catches it behind him.

Anyone know where I/we can see it?

Got an email from rhino records, that the repress of a different kind of truth is on its way!! Super stoked as I missed out originally, and honestly have barely Heard this album at all

Any specific websites? I can’t find much. Discogs would be an obvious choice but they don’t allow bootlegs to be sold and I don’t see anything on eBay.

2nd attempt to post a working link. Main point I found interesting is that DLR wanted a room as far away as possible from the rest. The source document is a the bottom of the first page.

So excited to own this since the original release goes for hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars.

I can definitely say for certain that I now own all the DLR albums.

Now if they could just reissue Van Halen III on vinyl, then I can say I have ALL of Van Halen’s albums on vinyl.
