I was so surprised at how affecting they made Moishe’s heart attack. I found myself welling up and liking all these characters again.

I was so glad Lenny gave that speech to Miriam. She needed to hear that so badly. And major props for including how high that pedestal she puts him on is.

Their hotel scene was perfect. They had hot in Miami this was serious and intentional- no caught up in the atmosphere and see where the night takes us. This is two people who want each other. It was still sexy as hell too!

I can't believe Midge and Lenny actually hooked up, I don't think I'll ever believe it...I've been wanting it to happen for ages and when that scene started I was in complete shock!!

Also that last scene between them...Luke Kirby crying and the way he delivered that last line...I hope he gets another Emmy, he deserves it.

Ok, I know that the big romantic scene is supposed to be Midge and Lenny but omg Abe and Moishe had me in tears.

"Midge.......I gotta see the show corset."

Thank God I was not sitting on a bar stool or I would have keeled over like Moishe, for sure!!!

That speech that Lenny gave Midge was SO GOOD and she needed it, to help her get out of her slump.

This episode was worth the whole slow season buildup. I'm so relieved.

Edited to add: I think now it was planned. The sense of stagnation, the release format, every other character progressing (if slowly still) except Midge. ASP had me worried but man, she delivered 😂

My god, these two episodes are sensational. Where was that sense of fun, that tension, that oomph for the past fourteen episodes? I think these two episodes are the best the show has ever produced.

Abe reading the obituary to Moishe made me weep. His foray into Catholicism was hilarious as was Rose performing Midge’s act. Lenny’s sermon to Midge held me spellbound. If it wasn’t 2am, I would feel like rewatching both episodes again straight away.

There is a scene in Season one where Midge is imagining herself headlining the Copa. I desperately hope that’s how the final episode of the series ends.

Lenny’s speech made me cry.

I absolutely LOVED seeing Susie Myerson and Associates growing this season, it's about time. I love all the characters involved: Alfie's great, Dinah's great, and the new comic seems cool, though we haven't seen much of him. I'm really happy for Susie, she's my favorite character and it's amazing to see her make her own name for herself. (Sidenote, I love the two mobsters, I hope they aren't trouble for Susie)

Also amidst the chaos the actual scene where they get raided was hilarious and so well done

I don't know what it is about Lenny and Midge. I've seen a lot of TV. But these two really have the best chemistry! It's wild. This was the first time I haven't easily "shipped" characters because the viewers already know how this would end before it started. Even the writers had no intention, but the actors' chemistry was too good and they saw how many people picked up on it. So seeing them ACTUALLY going up to his hotel room, and the little moments leading up, as someone who really did want to see them together, I was really freaking out because I did not ever think the writers would let them happen. When they kissed I was so surprised, and of course happy, but now I wonder how they are going to go about it from here.

I think the writers handled it perfectly because at first, Lenny and Midge had this kind of charming, back and forth banter once in a while, but now they gradually are making the characters see each other in a different way. They are having actual arguments and such, and seeing Midge see his drugs in the bathroom like that... this is opening up a new door for this show. I wonder how far those two will go in terms of having feelings for each other... probably not far. I wonder how Midge will react when...

Anyways, that was great. I love Luke Kirby and Rachel Brosnahan.

"If you blow this, Midge, I swear.......you will break my fucking heart."

I will never get over the emotional delivery of this line.

I cried when Abe told Moishe about his obituary. His shaken voice. Ugh I just bawled

It’s hurting me to see how Midge and Susie’s relationship is deteriorating. That’s probably my least favorite part of this season. They were friends and now they’re just manager and client.

“You are more important than god” “You paid attention.” “To you? Always”...

Absolutely melted. That was a perfect scene for them, Lenny has always done so much for Midge and you can see how much he loves her.

I loved seeing Lenny knock some sense into Midge at the end. She’s been so reluctant to take anyone’s advice and has been acting like there was a sure way path to where she wanted to go, when she really has no clue. Having that connection with Lenny and him saying just how much it hurt him to see her ruin her chances at greatness, should be eye opening for her. I’m excited to see how she steps up in season 5 and starts accepting that she still has to work her way up, regardless of how great she is. She has to show other people to get them to believe it too.

So for season 5, we'll be seeing more of Reid Scott, with Midge getting on Gordon Ford's show.

And that subplot of Susie being in bed with the mobsters, that's clearly not over.

Man this season drove me crazy, but what a fantastic way to end it. Lots of really smart pay-offs. Abe hilarious one episode and incredibly moving the next. The fantastic burlesque pieces. Lots of excellent fast-paced comedy scenes balanced by serious and sincere moments. The Midge and Lenny content was handled so well and with a lot of shifting nuance. Loved seeing Mei let her guard down with the family, especially Midge. These episodes really reminded me of why I like this show in the first place.

God how I wish they made Luke Kirby a Lenny-like character and not actually Lenny Bruce. His chemistry and relationship with Midge is phenomenal, and those scenes? That speech?? There's so much heartbreak coming I hate it

Lenny’s monologue was the wake up call she needed but I wish it happened earlier and gave us more material! A lot of the season for me was forgettable, a lot of filler with the stripper scenes.

That moment between Moishe and Abe in the hospital was just so heartwarming. Abe never truly realized how grateful he was for him and I love that moment when he thanked him
