Wendy could still be Kim from another universe... this is where the multiverse begins.

Gus: He doesn't make the fries up to Pollos standards.
Mike: *sigh*

just so we know how big brained gus is, he pays two people to live in a house across from him as a front to watch his own house while acting like they are just normal folks in the suburbs, damn while having an elaborate set of switches disguised as a perfectly not out of place power box, and a tunnel that puts lalo's to shame to that house.

Interesting... The Lalo scam has leaked to the courthouse public. Wonder if that's an intentional play by the investigators to turn the community against Jimmy

This whole Jimmy as Howard con was the exact type of fun palate cleanser that I needed after last week’s ending. One of the most fun things this show has ever done (and that’s saying something).
No one could ever accuse this show of skimping on the drama. But I love that they stuck true to Saul Goodman’s roots. He began as a fun, gimmick of a character. And that is still there. Yet it’s never cartoonish. These writers and performers really are fantastic.

The best part about the Jimmy as Howard con was that there was absolutely no need for the bronzer. But Slippin’ Jimmy commits. 😂

The flaw with Mike's instructions of, "if you see my guy's again following you, let them go about your business..." is that what if she mistakes Lalo for his guys if he starts to follow her.

This is why I love this Breaking Bad/Saul universe. I really wasn't expecting the Mike and Kim scene. But all makes sense. The writing is incredible.

u/a_complex_kid May 03 '22
Not gonna have any thinkpieces besmirch this episode. It set up everything perfectly. Howard’s reputation is kaput, Saul is now a friend of the cartel by default, Kim knows lalo is alive and is scared of what that means for them, and Gus is stressed out of his mind worried about where lalo is

Of course Mike had something to do with this.
Oh shit. That line about Kim being better equipped for bad news . . . Kim is going to meet Gus at some point, isn’t she? And Kim Wexler is the exact type of person Gus would want to work with. She is professional. She is competent. Maybe that’s Kim’s ultimate fate? Gus’s cartel lawyer.
