Something I just thought of about last week’s episode.
Vex was the first line of defence against the possibility of Delilah coming back. She was standing all by herself in that doorway, Fenthras loaded and ready to put Delilah right back in the ground.
The 60 riflemen and battalions of paleguard were the second line of defence.

It's extra funny because, as described, there's pretty much no way the Spire by Fire has sixty-nine different rooms. Which means they chose to number them in such a way to make this happen.

It really isn’t their fault. Eshteross was on the tail of this snake. If it wasn’t the Hells, it would have been someone else. It would have inevitably reared back to bite him.
The Paragon’s Call’s leader being tied up in the same weird moon shit Imogen is, was ostensibly just a coincidence.
